Yesterday I brought in a bag of food and forgot to pour it in the tin. It was opened up, and just sitting there. Todd was fishing, and I went to work for the evening. I forgot to call Todd and tell him to put it away, so it was still sitting there when I got home at 8pm. I checked it out - still untouched. This is what it looked like last night: I walked over to it, but only Chewie was interested. He sniffed and walked away! (OK, you can see my messy counter too - getting ready to bring stuff to our event this weekend - they leave that stuff alone too!) I went to bed, and forgot it out Again! This is what it looked like this morning: Right - the 3 who were out never touched it all night! Good boys Simon, Chewie and Riley. I have no idea why they don't bother it - this is a virtually all meat food that they absolutely love and eat in about 2 minutes flat when I put it in their bowls! |

I congratulate you on their good behaivor. Mine will not bother the bag unless their bowl is empty. But my Lhaso will pee on the bag when stressed as if to say "This is mine" |
Good doggies!!!!! Mine do the same thing, will not help themselves...the cat on the other hand is a different story. |
Wow! I'm so impressed. Mine love Taste of the Wild too and would definitely not leave an open bag - on the floor - undisturbed. In fact, Maggie is often sniffing around the edges of the countertop where I keep it to see if she can score some more. |
right now we are using the fish taste of the wild and i need to add anpther protein source (other than chicken) to Marley's food - which ones do you use? |
I rotate my dogs between all 3 versions. The others are bison and fowl. They do great on all of them. I mix it with warm water to make digestion easier on Chum's senior kidneys. |
What ?? If Glacier or Jack had been there the bag would have been tipped on its side, kibbles on the floor and one of the dogs on top of the mess growling to keep others at bay.
MO and Harry are like your guys, wouldn't have touched it. |
That bag is the Bison - but mine have sampled all the varieties and loved them.
I rotate foods, so this is my current one. It is on the spendier side, but the ingredient list is so good - definitely a case of you get what you pay for! We are just leaving the lamb and rice part of the food rotation. I am supposed to be getting some of the Enhance food that we got last fall from a weight pull - they all loved it and I can get a good price on it. I just hope the guys have room in their vehicle to bring it over from WI this weekend to the weight pull and races. |
I am not sure if Obe would get into it or not. I can have the lid off the container where his food is kept and he sits and waits to put it in his bowl, then I say ok and he goes to town. congrats to your well behaved children though. |
Very impressive!!
I had a sample bag of Hill's Nature's Best (I think that is what it was called) on the counter and forgot about it. Well one of the Sheepie's... most likely Pepsi, the notorious counter surfer, got ahold if it and ate it. Funny thing is.... if I forget to put the top on the metal garbage can I keep their food in, nobody touches it |
Dawn, it's getting SCAREY.....I just noticed that we have the SAME dog food can Are you sure we aren't twins seperated at birth? Oh wait I AM a twin.....maybe we were really triplets!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
