And from what I can tell, tonight the first hour is on USA, then it moves to CNBC for the last 2 hours. Tomorrow night all 3 hours are on USA.
Congrats to Doug and Smokin'! |
Yup, Sunny called and confirmed. But she didn't say Doug was handling. Nothing against Doug who's very debonnaire and charming, but weren't we plugging for the younger generation?
I'll miss seeing Colton on TV. We need more cute in the breed. (Ooops! Did I just say that?? ) A very nice win either way Kristine |
They weren't sure if Colton was there and showing somewhere else or not. (Deb's up there and it's hard for her to multitask sometimes! ) So maybe Colton will still show Smokin' tonight in the group.
Kristine, you'll like this one. At the Virginia national, I went to breakfast with the now OESCA president and her sister and Sue and Linda and someone else. We come back to the hotel and there's Colton working his Portugese Water Dog on his bike. He stops and says, "Good morning ladies." And all you could hear was giggling from those girls!! I was so embarrassed!!! |
Way to go Smokin' and the entire Bugaboo family!! |

Well, OK then, I feel better now Kristine, you'll like this one. Eh, I don't know how to break it to you, but they're a couple years past being called girls...(and so am I, so... ) Of course, Colton knows how to turn on the charm to his advantage Fortunately he really is a sweet kid. The gentleman who handled Sunny's dog at westmin last year invokes a similarly embarrassing response from our more mature female membership. Most of them have known him, if not since he was in diapers (though close enough!), then at least since he was a junior handler. That makes him only a couple of years younger than I am, but REALLY!!! Most of them were his mom's contemporaries. Pay close attention...this could be you and Sunny in a few (dozen or so) years Kristine |
You know, I've never met the guy who showed Luca last year but I've seen him at a few events and he always looks so cranky!! Tell him he needs to loosen up a bit!
Colton is great. He was the first person not in my "camp" to congratulate me after Suzi won. Heather was second, can't even be mad that he's married, she's nice too. Here's a link for the breed results: http://www.westminsterkennelclub.org/20 ... ngshe.html |

Heck no!!!! I'm sure his wife trained him to look that way before she lets him loose at breed shows. Who am I to undo her handiwork? Navy pilot. Very intense. Incredible handler. I've learned a lot from him. He and the Johnsons go way back and he and Colton have an almost sibliing like but gentile rivalry which is pretty hilarious. Colton is great. He was the first person not in my "camp" to congratulate me after Suzi won. Heather was second, can't even be mad that he's married, she's nice too. Same thing happened to me when I showed Luca for Sunny as a baby in Lancaster. Blew me away. That entire family is incredible. In a breed as unfriendly at cut-throat as ours, they're a breath of fresh air. Their graciousness never ceases to amaze me.Kristine |
Hey!!! You should have posted a SPOILER alert!
congrats to them, though |
Congrats to Smokin! |

Just getting back from spending the afternoon with Colton ( ) . Seriously, I did spot he & Heather getting a Bouvier ready for the ring so maybe we'll see him tonight?? Took tons of photos and I'll be uploading shortly, as I am sitting down with my husband for a few minutes & you know I can't mult-task. (No photos of Colton though... ). Nice meeting you Kerry! Hope you had a nice time hanging out with your breeder! Haggis' sire was absent from the ring. Not sure what the deal was yet... Our handler, Ernesto won in at least 4 terrier breeds today. You can spot him tonight on TV with his new star dog, the Kerry Blue, Paris. |

Great meeting you too - I bugged out after lunch - it was so cold I couldn't bear the thought of walking another half of block and got an earlier train home. Looking forward to grooming in Harrisburg. |
Maxmm, could the other person at breakfast have been the OES Rescue of So Cal lady, Jane Dempsey?
Quote: I went to breakfast with the now OESCA president and her sister and Sue and Linda and someone else.
I rescued my Taggart James from So Cal OES Rescue. I attend the rescue parade at the Burbank Kennel club and make something to donate for the silent auction to assist in raising money for the So Cal OES Rescue. |
No, wasn't her. She may have been in town that day though! |
