We had lots of Christmas Albums-- but that was our favorite. My sister Traci was especially fond of it. Somehow, we lost that album, and every year at Christmas we laugh about "Loren Greene" singing Christmas Carols, and the fond memories surrounding those songs. Traci's 40th Birthday is in June -- and I would love to put my hands on a copy of the record, and burn it to a disc for her. I have checked Ebay- Craigslist- posted on various sites-- with no luck. People remember it-- but have long since thrown it away... Thought I would try here and see if anyone has the album, or, knows of somewhere I could post. Oh-- and STOP LAUGHING!!! Thanks!!! Lori |

Try ebay or Amazon.com. I find almost anything obscure on these two sites. Good luck. |
It's not on Amazon.
You can try this link. It appears that some of your people have gathered here to bask in your country nerdiness but they are in the same boat as you. http://christmasyuleblog.blogspot.com/2 ... liday.html Next time I go to the record store, I'll take a look. This may be one of those obscure things that you are going to have to luck into at a garage sale. |

I HATE country, and my sister is hard rock all the way----Too funny that we love this album! Thank you mam!!! |
Phew! Another non-country person!
I probably won't get over there until the beginning of next month but I'll take a look. |
Lorne Greene was a Canadian: Will that help to track down the record? I remember it well! Good luck! |
My husband and my daughter like country, though my daughter's taste is starting to change at 12 yrs. Give me anything else, Hard Rock, Rock, Pop Rock...as long as it says ROCK somewhere. |

Yeah. When you ask someone if it's in stock you have to follow the question with, eh? |
I'll help you look!
I often frequent second hand shops in search of things which we use in animal rescue. Usually I'm checking them out once or twice a week and the several stores I go to, always have a huge record selection. I'll check them out when I go. You never know what treasures you come across in those stores. Good luck to you!! Marianne |

Haaaaaaa Oh what a day I had today!! (I posted about titled Memory Lane) but as I rambled on that post didn't want to even add more!
But.....The place I was checking out for my son today just happened to be only blocks away from the largest second hand shop in the city. I was early for the open house so thought I check out albums for you. Had an hour to spare... Yikes!! The LP section was aprox 10 feet long and 4 feet across! I found Donnie and Marie, Patridge Family, Maple Leaf Singers..(dunno who they were) the Mom and Dads (had a chuckle as they looked like Ma and Pa Kettle) Guy Lombardi,Liberace, Jim Nabors (I found 4 different albums!!!!) Sheesh and I thought he was a one hit wonder! Andy Williams, Don Ho, Burl Ives (that was our familys favorite Christmas album) and the list went on. 2 hours later I finished checking what probably amounted to thousands but sadly no Lorne Greene. Ah well perhaps I may come across it in my area...keep your fingers crossed. Pss you sure you don't want Burl Ives? He sang the songs on Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer. Marianne |
We had that albumn when I was a kid, too. I loved it! Thank you for bringing it up again, along with the great memories.
I did some digging around on the net and came up with this site. I cannot vouch for it, but for what it's worth, there's a copy available, apparently burned to CD. Type in Lorne Greene under artist and it will pop up with what's available, including Have a Happy Holiday, at various prices: http://www.musicstack.com/show.cgi Hope this works for you. I wish I had the albumn still. |
Not exactly for what you're looking, but you might like this one:
