I went over to Tony's work at lunch and told him we may lose her. He said, No...she is OUR dog! Actually, he said, she is HIS dog! So I let the wonderful WIOESR people know of our intentions and they said ok! So, we are a 3 pack now! And a prime example of foster failures! Thanks to rescue for bringing Lizzie into our lives. I thought we were full, but I guess we weren't! Thanks! |
|
lol, glad she came to you to be "fostered" then. Woohoo for you and Lizzie though Can't wait for more pics now of the new family |
YAY!!! Oh I'm so glad!! You must be almost relieved to be keeping her - knowing that she is in the best care possible. I know that many people who take in rescues have the best intentions, but as we all know, sometimes they don't, so it's great to know she is staying with someone who will raise her right.
Thanks!!! |
Couldn't have happened to a nicer gal. Foster Failure = Happy Lizzie!! |
WOOHOO! |
Congratulations! Lizzie couldn't have asked for a better family |
This is why I could never foster unless I was actually considering getting another dog!! I don't think I would ever be able to give them away, unless it was to someone I know and I could visit. So - I don't blame you at all!!!! |
I'd watch your back, Deborah. The canines officially out-number the humans in your house now If they manage to form an alliance with your cats....the end could be near
Congrats to Lizzie....she couldn't have found a better family |
Yippee! congrats on your new official family member!!!
As this is the 2nd person I have said this to today, it must be a good day! (One of our basset fosters just admitted foster failure this morning too!) |
Congrats, Deb and Tony!! This is the one case where it pays to be a failure!
Lizzie is in the best place she could be! |
oh wow! That's fantastic! I can't wait to meet her! |
Lucky Lizzie!!! Congrats to the whole family..... |
What thrills me the most is the Tony considers her "HIS." So now we know that the curmudgeon is really a huge softie! Congrats on your addition. |
Well, Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need to see a new avatar....soon...... I need to see lots of pictures....soon... and i really want to know if pirate shares robert???? Im really happy and proud of you foster failure...nice job!! xo |
***I*** always knew he was a softie. That's why I fell in love with him! Can't wait for all of you to meet Lizzie! |
Congratulations on Lizzie.
I am sure that Tony is going to spoil her. Look out! And yes we need a new avatar with all three pups. Have fun with Lizzie and can't wait to meet her. Mary |
Congrats!
I knew you'd fail from the second you brought her home. Lizzie is a lucky girl. |
I guess if you have to be a failure at something.......
Congrats! |
Congrats! That is so exciting! |
welcome to us flunkys , i did too!! lizzie is one lucky gal |
Congratulations Deborah and Lizzie!!!!!!! I had a feeling this would happen. I can't wait to meet her at the Chicago Sheepiefest, if not before... |
Congratulations of the acquisition of your new Obedience Sheepdog (oh, wait - did I forget to mention this???) You will be competing with her in obedience and rally, right? Or is that Tony's job? Did I forget to mention that expectation? Ooops! So sorry!
(Just be glad you didn't adopt her sister - she comes with an agility clause...) KIDDING! You should consider it though when life settles down a bit. Both of those girls immediately made me think "performance prospect!" Kristine |
Congratulations Deb . ..... Hay if you put your 3 pack with my 3 pack we will have a 6 pack ..... (oh wait ,it would be a 7 pack with Claudia )
OMG That is a lot of Sheepies .... Together you and I alone have almost as many sheepies as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have kids. Antoinette |
You guys are sooo funny! Kristine...does Maggie hold her pee pee a very long time? Lizzie only goes about twice a day. Pirate goes every chance he gets! |

Kristine...does Maggie hold her pee pee a very long time? Lizzie only goes about twice a day. Pirate goes every chance he gets! Amy commented on that when they both first came to her (they seemed to never need to pee) Maggie's getting more regular now - pees at least 4 times. I think she learned from watching the others. Now they go out and have group pee sessions without me begging. But it took a while to get the hang of it. Another arctic blast this weekend... Hope Lizzie gets the hang of it soon!!! Kristine |
Congratulations!
It is very hard not to become irreconcilably attached to them. We're on our second foster now, and it's like he's always been with us. Plus it is a hoot to watch the three sheepies race around the yard. But I'm sure Ingrid will find him a great home. Have fun! |
This deserves a or two and maybe a !!
Congrats Deb and Tony! Couldn't have happened to nicer folks. Lizzie is one lucky sheepie. Laurie and Oscar |
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gives me goosebumps just thinking about what a wonderful home Lizzie will have. Three dogs = :LOTS OF KISSES |
Was there ever a doubt that you would keep her????? |
Congrats! It was a done deal as soon as she walked in your house, it just took you longer to realize it.
And this is exactly why my husband forbids the idea of fostering - he knows I will fail. My new nickname is Ellie Mae. |
YIPPPEEEE for Lizzie!
What a lucky girl... She knew she was home from the minute she stepped paws inside! Congrats!! Kathy |
Congratulations Deb, Tony & Lizzie!
I'm SO happy you've found your perfect match. |
Congratulations Deborah! Sheepie girls rock (and this from someone with four boys ) |
Congrats |
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! |
