Oh boy am I out of the loop. Been hanging around here for almost 5 years and I realized I have NEVER been notified. Guess some of us are a bit slower....LOL

| This happens to me periodically. I finally discovered what the problem was.
FOR ME, I have a Spam filter on my email. Everyonce in awhile a oes.org notification makes it into my Spam folder. If I empy the Spam folder without checking it oes.org gets added to a blocked address list. All emails are then blocked (they don't even go to the spam folder). I used to empty my Spam folder without looking at it but I have learned to check it before deleting because things I want to see often get filtered into it. So first, check you Spam folder then check your list of blocked address'. I also routinely check my "blocked" address' to make sure nothing has made it to that list that I don't want to be on there. |

Yes, it's a choice on your profile to be notified on replies or not. I don't use it - I get way too many emails as it is. Instead, if I want to see if anybody has responded to my posts I use the "view your posts" link at the top, or the "view posts since last visit".  |

I don't get notified either, but I'm on here daily and a lot, so I find it easier to check all the forums each time I come anyway. My email tends to build up as well  |
| It's actually an option per thread. You can set the option on by checking the little box that says: "Notify me when a reply is posted." That box is located just two rows above the "Submit" button for each post.
The option in your control panel merely sets that box as checked (or unchecked) by default. There is a whole topic on this with pictures and everything, including how to opt out of a thread to which you are subscribed.
