I'll help Mom!

We got 5" of snow yesterday and it blew some too. So we shoveled the walk. An hour or two later the sun was out and melting the "stuck on" bits. I'd taken Ralph out for a quick potty break and put his leash around a fence pole so I could shovel more.

I couldn't figure out what he was doing. I stopped, held the shovel. He paws at the shovel piece, then grabs the handle and starts walking off with the shovel!!!!! I try again, same thing. So, I take the leash off to see how far he'd go. He balanced it in his mouth, took it a couple of feet and started pawing at the blade part again.

Any suggestions on how to teach him how to really shovel???? :lmt:

So funny...
I can totally imagine what he was doing~
Mommy's little helper boy
  What a good boy!!
how cute is that
Could it be the noise? MO thinks the shovel is a game called, "It's EVIL making all that scraping sound" or "It flings snow, let's catch it." Shoveling is a chore, thankfully done maybe once a season.
I don't know how to teach him to shovel, but at least he's interested. I am still trying to figure out how to teach my two to mop.
Naw, I'll send Glacier, she'll lick your floors and cabinets clean, no charge.
