Meet Rosie
Rosie is my 4th OES and we are very glad to have her with us. She is just 10 weeks old and arrived by air as a surprise package as we did not see her until we got her (only a photo) We also have another OES who was a rescue from the RSPCA in 2000. His name is George and he still has a few issues! - Mainly to do with ladders and utes! Rosie came to us because our 13 yr old OES Doris died just before Christmas and she left such a big hole in our hearts that the only way to fill it was to have another OES puppy to love. | Hi Everyone and thanks for all your comments,
George was a little aloof when she arrived. Poor dear, he's been moping around since Doris went to the rainbow bridge just before Christmas. (Like all of us really) Although he was rather enjoying being the only one having leftovers! When Rosie arrived he took a couple of days to get used to it, a few lip curls (difficult, as he has just had the bottom half of his lower jaw removed because he had a growth on there) and a couple of growls - like stay away from me!!! Anyway after the whole family sat out in the garden the day we took the photos and Rosie just raced around like new puppies do - he couldn't resist and joined in - now he instigates playtime and this morning when we took them both for a long walk he didn't even mind her leaping up and biting his ears. The house training is a little difficult as we live on the first floor so for Rosie to get into the garden she has to negotiate an open staircase which I'm terrified of her falling down - so far so good but as her confidence grows so does her speed of descent - we have had to fix a gate across for when we go out so she can't climb up them (thank goodness for a tiled entry foyer for those puppy accidents) Still so far so good. She woke me up at 1am and at 5 am to go out (yes she sleeps in the bedroom!don't all OESs?) Aida |
| Sounds like things are going great!! If she's only getting you up twice a night, you're in good shape.
