so many new members......welcome all new guys 2 legged and 4 legged....let me tell you a bit of how Pisco and I are doing and what we have been up to..... We moved..Pisco addapted wonderfully ....except for new friends at the park ..that took a bit longer.....he even got himself an enemy....yep!!! there is another dog that is walked at the same park that just hates Pisco ... and has started 2 fights both times I had to take Pisco to the vet for stitches. ...last time the bite was on his femoral artery and he lost a lot of blood....but now he is ok... back to his old self again... more a mommy`s baby than ever...but I think that is because I am pregnant (6 months) and he just has to lay down and put his head on my growing belly....he would grunt every time the baby moves..he pricks his ear and grunt....it`s so funny to watch..... I am/have a threat of a premature birth ...so I was for a month at the hospital and now am back again at home but have to stay in bed probably for the rest of my pregnancy...and Pisco just stays with me all day... It`s funny to see all the changes this has brought into our lives.....I was the one that brushed, bathed, walked and fed Pisco but now I can`t so my hubby(cris) does them all....I just can`t help but laugh to see how they are adapting to one other in all this....Pisco just seems to sense that something is diferent but always comes to mommy for his cuddles..... well guys won`t make this longer but I willl sure tell you more later..... missed all of you a lot.... Welcome back Vero and Pisco!
Congratulations on your up coming addition to the family, take it easy and I hope everything goes fine! My son was 3 weeks early and is fine, but my cousins twins were born at only 29 weeks gestation and are also fine, normal 9 year olds. Longer is better, but for women who can't seem to carry to term medical science has made tremendous advances. It sounds so cute to hear about Pisco reacting to the baby! He will probably be a wonderful friend to him or her. |
VERO AND PISCO, YOUR'E BACK!!!!!
I have missed you, and Pisco and all of Pisco's sheepie antics! Congratulations on your upcoming arrival. I am sorry that you have had the complications that you have had. I am no stranger to bed rest. When I had Ashlan, I was put on full bed rest from 6 months on. With the help of 6 doctors and 12 nurses, my baby girl and I had a safe delivery and all of us were healthy. With my son, I had to be put on full bed rest at 4 months, and struggled trying to explain why Mommy was in bed all the time to a 2 year old. We all ended up great and I have a beautiful 7 year old superintendents honor roll student and a handsome, smart, charming 4 year old to show for it. How scary it must have been to have Pisco hurt. Poor baby, I am glad he is better now. He needs to be well, to be able to be a great big brother to the new baby. I loved hearing about him laying his head on your belly, he sounds so sweet. I will be thinking of you, and hopeing that your pregnancy will go smoothly and safely for you and your baby. Stormi and co. |

Hi!
I'm so happy to see you back!!! You were missed! Poor Pisco concerning his troubles at the park and it sounds like indeed that other dog shows a lot of aggression towards him. Very few dog fights end up with one in stitches as usually they fight and one eventually gives the belly up...I give sign and then it's over. How did the other owner react? Did them offer to pay half the vet bill and were they sympathetic? I'm happy about your good news too although it's definately tough for you at the moment but the end result will be one of happiness. Congratulations to you and your partner...and of course Pisco too. It's nice that Pisco gets to spend more time with his dad. Please take care and glad you are back. Marianne |
welcome back!!!isnt haveing a baby so exciting?wow!!congrads to you,and your family.when i was PG w/ my 8yr old girl i was bed riden had spotting, cramps and was told ill miscarry, but me and my daughter fooled them aALL!! she was a premmie also, but she did just fine and is a spit fire now. as for your Pisco poor baby!!i used to go to the dog park but i found there are alot of bullies there and the uprights just let it happen.my jagger loved going playing w/ all shapes and sizes of dogs, but there would be this 1 dog there (husky mix)who picked on him ALL the time, and jagger really didnt know how to fight him away, and the owner would just sit there and do nothing to pull her dog off.i had words w/ her when this happened the 2nd time, and she was mad i said something to her so i said NO MORE!i stopped going and will not take mickey there either.im glad there are places to take our buddies however it sucks theres ALWAYS 1 bad seed to make it miserable.Im glad your little buddy is doing great now. Cant wait to hear all about your new bundle of love coming soon.PLease keep us posted. Tanya,Mickey,Jagger |

thanks guys......It means alot to me your friendly words of support.....
both times Pisco was attacked the owner of the other dog paid the vet bill in full....since he realizad it was his dog`s fault since he was the was the one that came straight to Pisco, to start a fight....usually Pisco is so playfull....not an agresive dog at all, and the first time it happened it took him by surprise....second time as well but he(Pisco) reacted more agresive toward the dog....it was scary all the blood that was pouring out of the wound.......the funny part was the way Pisco was after the fight....after he was cleaned, stitched and back home, he would stand on the stairway landing (up or down) and wimperd to let someone know he wanted to go downstairs or up...had to carry him up or down all the time first day ...I said ok poor baby he`s hurt.....he liked it...and wanted it done every time LOL....on the next day of the fight a firend of mine came to visit and guess what....Pisco was the first on the door (not unusual)...but he sat down (very unusual) and presented his damaged paw to my friend with a wimper LOL .....he did this for a week with every body that came to visit...... |
awww poor pisco.... give him a hug for me please! |
Welcome back, Henry and I missed your stories. Congratulations on your baby, please take extra care of yourself at this important time. Many of my friends who spent some period of their pregnancy in bed complained about the boredom. At least Pisco can keep you company while you are in bed, maybe you can devise some games or training that is no exertion for you but will keep you and Pisco entertained! |
