Staying with the sitter

Rheba occasionally goes on visits when my husband and I go out of town. She usually stays at the in-law's house. They have 2 dogs and they all play very well together. In the mean time, we have to go out of town for 4 days (around Valentines) and the inlaws are also out of town. I asked a friend of mine if she could doggysit for me while I am gone and she said yes. She has a mini daschund. Ginger, the daschund, is very friendly and a complete lover. Last night we did a trial run to see how the dogs would be together at Ginger's house. Ginger is a little protective of her home. Well I also realized that Ginger can get a little moody because she is intimidated by Rheba's size. At one point, I had ginger on my lap and I was petting Rheba too. Ginger got mad about it and nipped at Rheba. Ginger actually pulled a mouth full of fur (of course being a small amount because her mouth is so little). It kinda made me mad because she did it but I can understand because Ginger is so little and I'm sure that Rheba can be intimidating because she is quite a bit larger than the little "half pint." For themost part, the dogs ignored eachother although they did have the one little incident.
I have someone else who is willing to take care of Rheba although I don't want to hurt my friend's feelings (because we also team-teach together so we are together ALL day long) by telling her that Rheba isn't going to say with her anymore. My friend loves Rheba and is really excited about it too. Also, my friend's husband isn't too fond of Rheba because he isn't used to large dogs.

What do you think? Should I just go ahead and trust my friend or should I persue other avenues?

I would suggest to your friend that Reba and Ginger need more playtimes together before she sleeps over. Put it in a way that suggests you are worried about Reba being a good guest rather than Ginger being a good hostess. And say that your friendship is more important than Reba sleeping over.
