mango avocado salsa w/ lots of chips
bbq baked wings parmesan fries ...and for dessert, making this chocolate whipped mousse thing I got from rachael ray |
Veggie platter!! I feel that Super Bowl parties are usually loaded with heavy food like chips, burgers fries, cake...etc..
So I always bring veggie platter and believe it or not, it's a hit. I place a dipping bowl in the middle of a round platter, surround it with cheery tomatoes, slice up celeries, yellow and red Bell peppers, cucumbers, carrots and lay them out around in a circle. place some tooth picks... |
im making something more substantial....
penne pasta with... art. hearts, grilled sliced zuccini, grilled onion, jarred red pepper, grilled eggplant, grilled chicken shaved parm cheese and a glog of olive oil.... i like it warmer than room temp...but it supposed to be served room temp or cold....... i grill everything on my handy dandy george foreman....toss all together and waaa-laaa... |

That sounds delicious Darcy!!! We don't have the superbowl, but I would find ANY excuse to eat that! |
I like to wrap lil smokies in bacon, then sprinkle a hand full of brown sugar on them and bake until the bacon is crisp. They RULE!!! and everybody loves them!! Not exactly heart healthy, but yumm! |
i agree with joanna--I always LOVE to have veggies platters at events like that. It helps to balance out all the bad food. |
