I decided against the traditional testing and did the N.A.E.T. with a holistic vet. He had positive results for: amino acid II, b6, hydroxyzine and ivernectin (one is an ingredient in heartworm pills and the other is in an anti itch med). Also ringworm, testis/prostate, cigarettes, frontline, fleas and chicken. She cleared him for the chicken, hydroxyzine and ivernectin. I take him back on Tuesday to recheck for those sensetivities. I also have a list of things from around the house that I have to take in next time for testing. She was very encouraging though. Thought the number of sensetivities so far is very low. I was very happy that the food testing went well (except for the chicken part, I gound up 10 chickens last night!!) and there were no reactions for grasses, weeds, trees, molds or pollens. |

Very interesting. I am glad to see that the results are managable.

I guess he'll have to quit cold turkey...Will he be getting a patch? All kidding aside, if dogs can be allergic to smoke, and generally they do not smoke themselves, then it would be second-hand smoke, right? All the more reason , besides the obvious cancers, lung and heart problems, behavioral problems....we not to smoke around or expose our pets to cirgarette smoke... Very interesting. Something else that folks with itchy dogs can try to avoid. |
Well, that is very interesting. Most of these items appear to be things he can stay away from. But whose testis/prostate is he sensitive to?
I actually find it relieving that he's not allergic to items you really can't take away, i.e. grass, mold. Hmm..something I may look into for Foz. |

A couple of drunks walk into a bar wearing beer bottle lables on their foreheads.
"What's up with that," asks the bartender. "We're trying to quit drinking." "Why the labels?" "They're alcohol patches." OK not funny, but there ya go. |
Groan Ron!!!
Hi A, I found your post interesting and would love to know more. Hope all goes well with Mojo! Sending belly rubs and sloppy kisses from the boys. Marianne |
How is one allergic to testis/prostate? |
I guess I should explain things differently.
I have been putting it in terms of western medicine thinking. In eastern medicine it is not referred to as an allergy but as an energy imbalance or blockage. The testis/prostate probably came up because Mojo has been neutered. |

Thanks for explain that one. I was wondering the same thing as Stacy. I hope you can get to the root of the problem. Best Wishes, |
