Does any other sheepies like potty water too?? |
|
Heart tried it once!!!!
Since all the kids are grown and it's only me and my hubby, WE have been TRAINED to keep the lid closed AT ALL TIMES!!!!!! |
You mean like this?
I don't mind it , except they leave the seat all wet with dribble... They say that toilet bowl water is cleaner than your kitchen sink... |
Oh Boy.... HA HA HA. Yep, Looks like my bathroom. Dribble wet seat and all. These sheepies crack me up!!! |
My girls used to drink out of the toilet. but stopped a long time ago...the other day I went into use the restroom and Pearl, the cat was sprauled across the seat with her head inside. She has her own water bowl. Oh well.... |
Blue likes it too Bathroom door TRY to keep close. Mostly mid of nite, hes to lazy to walk to his dish... Our poodle jumps into the bathtub for a drink. |
My cats drink from the toilet but Barney hasn't tried yet... |
Mine usually only drink out of the toilet bowl if their water bowl is empty. It always makes me feel bad for letting their bowl get empty and forcing them to lower themselves to toilet drinkers. |
Bosley's mom wrote: They say that toilet bowl water is cleaner than your kitchen sink... I had to look that one up. I found this from snopes but, unfortunately, the link to the Chicago Sun Times is no longer active: Quote: In a test of ice cubes from 49 fast-food and casual-dining restaurants and hotel bars in the city and suburbs, the Chicago Sun-Times found that more than one of every five samples contained high levels of bacteria. Samples taken at three of the restaurants contained an undetermined amount of fecal coliform, according to the findings of a government-certified laboratory that performed tests on the samples for the newspaper. By comparison, a water sample taken from a toilet in a men's room at the Sun-Times tested cleaner than the ice obtained at 21 of the restaurants and bars. |
Oh my word. Where's the gagging icon when you need it? |
I don't know of a dog who WON'T drink out of the toilet if given the chance.
It's really a pretty sight when they eat cat litter first, then drink toilet water and back and forth etc... yuck.... |
Thank goodness I have no toilet drinkers in the current bunch.
I guess Todd and I are fairly well trained by now with closing the lid.... |

Same here. My current two will drink out of a muddy rain puddle, though. Toilet water is probably better for them. And my new one is my second Kleenex eater. I think that those are a distant relative of toilet drinkers but more discriminating than general garbage eaters. |
Chauncey has us trained to keep the lid down. He prefers a sip from the toilet over his bowl any day. |
We have kleenex and paper towel eaters...do you think they are related to yours? |

Could be, but I see we are both from California. It could be one of those fads that start in California and then the rest of the Country gets caught up in it... like the sheepdog version of Sushi. |
What are you people doing!!!! Peeing in the dogs waterbowl!!! I hate sitting down on the wet dribbly seat. |
this post has been too funny. My back is hurting and laughing has made it worse. This post needs a warning attached...especially Bosley's mom's picture. |
My Daisy drinks from the toilet AND eats kleenex, spent toilet paper rolls, and hair balls. Frank and Daphne not so much. My parents have 2 female oes (Rosy and Lily) and when I go to visit and use the bathroom, usually I turn off the light, shut the door (like I should do at my own house) and my dad will say "Hey leave the light on and the lid up my girls like it!!!" |
WCLARKE wrote: My Daisy drinks from the toilet AND eats kleenex,
That makes sense-- she probably wants something to wash down the Kleenex. You can always tell a Kleenex eater. You get something we call "lawn ornaments" or "Twinkies". Around Christmas time we always get a box of these sweet confections with nuts from my wife's family and also a particular bush in the back yard has these bright red seeds that time of year. So for the holidays, we may get "Twinkies with nuts", or "Twinkies with sprinkles" depending on what else he may have gotten into that day. I suppose you could say it's kind of festive. ...sorry, too much information I think. |
Maisey eats and drinks it all too.
Yeesh...My twins think it's hysterical when they see her hunched over the toilet. It drives me nuts!!! I am so scared that we'll go visiting, and some lazy relative will have a toilet cleaner puck in the tank.... |

Good grief! The OES I'm babysitting almost gave me a heart attack yesterday. The guys got ahold of a roll of paper towel and went to town shredding it. I thought nothing of it until I saw this long, white strand of ????? coming out of her butt when I thought she was pooping And this is why I have my vet's cellphone number on speed dial... Geesh! Just when you think you've seen it all. And I thought Sadie had invented that particular delivery, but evidently not. She should be on a commercial. The darn sheet was basically intact. "So strong it can travel through a dog's intestine and still come out in one piece!" Gag me. No toilet drinkers here. Single and avid lid closer, so that may have something to do with it. Kristine |

not a mental picture I need before bed Since Sam is gone, no more toilet drinkers......and he was a real drooler too! Jack made a move towards the bowl when he first got here but I told him politely NO WAY JOSE! So seats are safe around here. Haven't had a paper eater.......ever except for foster dogs. Basically mine are pretty boring......thankfully. |
Well I see that Baloo didn't fall far from the Potty Drinking Family Tree....Wendy.
Especially since ROSY is Baloo's mom!!!! HA HA HA |
