Drive to College Station and let me take care of your dog
Or at least let my FI and I come visit you when he gets back from Iraq. hehe I wish I remembered the resort I left my dog. They MASSAGED my dog, gave her a YOGA FOR DOGS class, had a webcam you could watch them 24-7, and played with them. My dog is only 6lbs though, so I would think it would be WAY too expensive for a big sheepie. Have you checked your vet? A lot of times they do boarding as well as big chain pet stores? |
We recently went away for a long weekend and we had a friend pet sit. She took care of Truman and Rilely (the cat), brought in the mail and generally "lived" at our house while we were gone. That way, our four legged kids were comfortable at home and we also had someone to keep an eye on the house. (We have a security system but rarely use it. How dumb is that?!) I checked with our vet who charges $13 per day to board and and with a doggie daycare place where Truman occasionally goes. They charge $18 per day. I paid my friend $20 per day and it was worth every penny in peace of mind. If you have a friend who would like to earn a little extra $, you might want to ask her/him if they would consider pet sitting for you. |
Where do you live? I live in Tomball and have some suggestions if you are nearby....
I know you mentioned inside the loop, but on which side? I hear Rover Oaks is great. http://www.roveroaks.com I'm not sure if it is convenient for you. Up near 249 south of Tomball there is Prestonwood Kennels, we've had Ben groomed and kenneled there and he did great. They actually just installed a doggy wading pool with thatch roof umbrellas and all...very cute! I've also used our vet - does your vet offer boarding? I found Prestonwood and Tomball Pet Resort (even further north) from my vet's referral. It just made me feel better that they recommended either kennel when they were booked. |
BACK OFF BIGBEN!!
I only live 50-60 minutes away. I can watch their dog. lol j/k. hope you found a good place to leave your baby. |
I found a place called Rover Stay Over and the owner is a very pleasant women that will come pick up and deliver Abigail. What a deal! She charges $25.00 a day, but if you supply the food the cost is $23.00 a day. Still not bad. Her place is outside of Houston and she has 5 acres. They sleep in soft beds with cozy couches and private hideaways. She even said when she returns her she will not smell. |
Do you know what radius she works in? You can never have too many options. Let us know how you make out!
But - now I have Joahaeyo - no worries haha! |
