She really is one of the sweetest dogs you can imagine. The intense look, however, is part of an obedience exercise. This was at the '06 national and since I don't see a dumb bell, it must have been when she came in after the drop on recall. You know the part, they sit in front of you staring lovingly at your face, thinking all the while, "OK, so where's my darn cookie??!!"
One of my favorite pics, though. A great day. A friend who owns her Dad brought his little girl (two-legged) and Belle's Dad, Billy (who himself turns 14 in two days) . The little girl played and played with Belle and it was just so much fun to watch. Belle loves two things more than me: kids and sheep. Oh, wait, three. Kids, sheep and food. Not necessarily in that order... 
The fact that I come in a mere fourth doesn't bother me. The fact that I'm on the list at all is her gift to me

Can we see pictures of all the dogs that you have living in your house (that you know of  ) with names attached? I need some more visuals to put the faces with names. It seems like just when I think I knew all of your dogs, it turns out there's another! |

I'll take pictures of the entire crew this weekend and post them. May take a while...
I only know of eight at the moment. I'll be sure to check under the bed to make sure I didn't miss any Only five are mine. Plus one stolen from girls' breeder (permanently?), one I'm babysitting till Monday, plus foster. I'll document the entire crew. The herd does seem to grow...But I've never had more than nine at a time. That I know of

Poor Clay. He hasn't had the easiest life. Most of his first 18 mos spent bored to tears being a show/kennel dog till he finished, then years of living in the shadow of chemo treatments and death and mourning. Even the year back with me and his mom and sis wasn't that great because he still didn't have his own person. LeAnne is the best thing that ever happened to him. A pretty young fourlegged cousin and an impending human grandchild in residence probably won't hurt either. Who knows? He may learn to play yet

KB Clay has learned how to PLAY!!!
It is just the coolest thing ever. He bounces and throws toys in the air. He also gained weight - he is not bony anymore. I think he finally feels like a real dog - and in Clay's case feeling like a real dog is a wonderful thing!! He had his chicken on a rope toy - he always liked it - just sucked it though. Now he throws it too. I got all the extended family's dogs toys this Christmas - stretchy blue geckos. He loved it. This past week he actually chewed it and de-squeeked it! LeAnne was so excited she shrieked (and startled him!) and then gave him a big hug.
He will be 7 at the end of February, so he was way overdue! He just looks and acts so happy now. |

Happy Belated Birthday to Beautiful Belle who was given the appropriate name as she sure is a beauty!  
The boys are sending sloppy kisses and would probably even share a chewie bone with her if she lived closer.
