Ole Blue is 19!
In honor of this grand event , I'll swallow what little humble pride I have left and post a photo taken aprox 19 years ago when he arrived as an 8 wk old pup at my neighbors home. I adopted Blue a year later. That's me in the fluffed up hair, dress with padded shoulders hugging Shaggy and that's Blue as he looked like a pup. He was so cute back then..Black head and grey body. Now he's black with grey tipped fur. He's a BlueHeeler/Lab Having lived with Sheepies all his life, first Shaggy, then Merlin and Panda he's viewed as an honorary sheepie. 
Happy 19th Birthday Ole Blue Protector of felines Best friend of Merlin nemisis of Panda My boy He's now a bit grizzled around his muzzle, slower getting up and laying down but he can hear a treat bag rattle and come running. These pics were taken a few months ago Come on Ole Buddy, we're waiting for you! 
While the joints may be stiff, his nose still works!

| Thanks Everyone for the well wishes and birthday greetings.
Blue enjoyed a dinner of spaghetti and pizza, and for desert a nice marrow soup bone and a carrot. He was in heaven eating his favorite things! This weekend I'll make sure I spend some one on one time with just him and me. Maybe go to a park and indulge in his favorite thing in the world..ball throwing. He still loves chasing them although I now only throw them a few feet. Marianne |
