What the heck is he doing? |
|
Pirate does that too! He has a "dolly" Robert (a stuffed fleece gingerbread boy) that he carries around...and humps the air. I think they are all crazy! |
When my Cocker was alive...he would do the humping at nothing thing as well.... . Don't know why.... |
Our female OES-mix did that too... we called it her hula dance. So it's not just the boys that are crazy! |
It's the air hump! Clyde air humps about once a day. Sometimes it's out of happiness or excitement, other times it's just out of nowhere. Whenever he does it, we yell "Woooo! Air hump!" until the hump passes. |
"If it happens, make the most of it." Have it got it right? |

That's hilarious... kind of a spectator sport |
Tony does that to Pirate, too. Its a guy thing. When Keira humps, Pirate is always on the receiving end. Its pretty disturbing! She's such a man! |

Not all that often, but fairly frequently. But he always looks so embarassed while he does it, like it's out of his control and he'd rather not be doing it. Usually he'll end up having walked himself to a corner so no one can see his face |
No air humping for Bingley - he has blankets. We've had to put up all the blankets in the house except for one - that stays on the floor. Every time he's exceptionally relaxed and happy - he heads for his blanket. |
if it makes any of you happier...rather than the air hump, after breakfast panda runs to her bed and cleans herself until her leg is thumping the ground and rattling the blinds..(her bed is next to a window).....
she always has a right fine breakfast! |
Maybe he has an imaginary "friend" |
My mini schnauzer air humps. And both girls enjoy themselves often..... |
Doesn't this thread make you wish you were a dog |

Nah, Clyde embraces the hump. He's made it his own and he's proud of it. Food is just a way to relax after a good solid humpin'! |

LOL! Bailey does this every now and then, the first time it freaked me out but then I got used to it. It always makes me laugh because he usually has a very confused look on his face when it happens. What I didn't realize was that Tim had never seen it. Last summer on vacation, Bailey started air humping in front of Tim and Tim just freaked. Which of course, made it even funnier for me. Poor Tim thought the dog was having some sort of seizure. |
Guiness does it too , we call it his humpy dance!!! |
My Winston (at the bridge) did that when he was around 6 months old. It stopped eventually, but we always called it his Elvis Impersonation. |

Chaunce has only air humped once, about a yr. ago. His nasty is backing up to your legs and rubbing his bum on you leg.....when he wants it scratched he wants it now. He did this to my brother while he was sitting on the hearth, Chauncey was scrathching his butt on his leg and my brother was burning his butt as he jumped up yelling what the h***'s he doing |
Pepsi does the air hump occassionally. |

Simon air humps too and always has a confused look on his face when he does this. |
