Hes turned PINK!!!!
I know you'll probably think i was mad in the first place but i got my dog a red collar it was made of nylon sort of material and just recently we have had ALOT of rain and it appears that the red dye has turned him bright pink  - he is pink all down his bib and on the back of his neck and no matter how much shampoo i use I cant get the stuff out. Does anybody know of a good/brand of shampoo that could help or any other suggestions besides cutting it out (just let his hair grow long for the 1st time and really dont want to have to cut it) EEEK

Hi We have had the "pink ring around the shaggy neck" here too
This White on White shampoo worked for us... Took a couple of baths though Dawn dish soap gets out grease & stains too One of the local groomers calls it his secret weapon

| I've done the same darn thing years ago...I used Head and Shoulders and also Bluing - watch out that you dilute bluing well so you don't end up with a blue dog too!
Those will help it fade - and sunshine too. But it will take some time before it wears completely off. |
| I would write the company as well and let them know what happened. Something similar happened to a Komondor owner that I know and the collar company paid to have the dog groomed. |
| Thanks for everyones advice ill definately be trying out some of the shampoos and id never thought about contacting the collar manufacturer but its a very good and logical idea!! |
| I adore this site!!!! Where from I could learn that Head and Shoulders can make an OES whiter?! I have already tried several whitening shampoos for dogs and horses, nothing worked on the stained face. Which exectly brend of head and Shoulders works better? Any? |

Val here is an idea if the pink coolaid doesn't work. Just tie a bandanna or collars on Pearl and get her wet! |
