| A good place to look (so you know you're dealing with a reputable breeder) is to check out the breed club's web site. Here's a couple in Florida:

I think that person was talking about rescues, in which Petfinder is the way to go. I think you may be thinking of PuppyFind, which, you're right, reputable breeders do not advertise there. |
