|
Of course I'm watching! It's funny you say you like like these guys the best...all the reviews say they are boring and the worst group, entertainment-wise! ha ha. I like Chris and Christian and I don't have a girl I like yet, I don't think. I liked the prom challenge. I think I would have worn Sweet P's dress if I had to choose one for my prom... |
Maybe I like this group best, because I don't *hate* anyone like some of the ones from the past. Sweet P's dress was beautiful! And I loved Jillian's candy dress. I felt badly for Christian and his prom client..she was horrible! |
I like the contestants this season too. I think it's a nice break to not have DRAMA all the time with the people. I know that drama characters can sometimes bring in ratings, but I think this show is good enough that you don't have to have a crazy Santino or grating Jeffrey every time.
I have a feeling the producers had something to do with pairing Christian with that girl. Seems just too coincidental that the most opinionated girl got matched with the most opinionated designer... |
This is the first season I've watched from the beginning, although I've seen the other seasons on the many marathons. I dunno...I would like some drama, although Kevin getting aufed last night was pretty dramatic. I do NOT like Victor*a and want her gone. Big Chris has done 2 beautiful dresses the last 2 weeks, but he was eliminated once so the judges won't let him go to Fashion Week.
My predictions for Fashion Week are Rami and Jillian (neither one are my faves though). Kevin was my third pick, but now maybe Christian, who I think is hysterical as only a 21 year old with a huge ego can be. We need a villian like Wendy Pepper! |
I think as we see the show progress, we may see more drama out of Christian and Kit (I have a feeling Kit is a secret firecracker!) |
I really want to hate Christian for being so "scene" but he really is a good designer. The hair and the lady pants make me want to punch him.
My stupid DVR cut off right at the moment of who was getting voted off on the last episode. I know it was Kevin (since I looked it up online) but did something dramatic happen? |
Not too dramatic, just that the judges HATED Kevin's dress and said it looked "cheap." Kevin has had several good designs, yet this got him aufed, and that piece of cr@p by Victor*a (completed with Bedazzled bodice) won. GRRRRR. |
That dress from Kevin was awful. It made that girl look 10 years older and looked like something you'd pick up at WalMart. Michael Kors had it right when he said it looked very $29.95 but I thought he was being generous with the price! |
I don't know why, but Christian doesn't bother me. He just amuses me for some reason. I can't take him seriously. And you know, he's totally fierce.
I thought Kevin's dress DID look cheap, but I thought Ricky's was equally cheap and he's had much more trouble, so I would have liked to see him go, since you know he's going soon anyways. I liked Victoria's dress. I thought the color and style was really pretty and was something that kids might actually wear. I wasn't sure about the jewels, because I thought at first she was just going to do clear or silver, but I really thought they added a nice pop of color. |
I really thought Victoria's dress was cute until she glued those thingies on it. Then it looked like it was from the clearence rack at Penney's. |

I wasn't sure about the jewels, because I thought at first she was just going to do clear or silver, but I really thought they added a nice pop of color. He is fierce, lol. Agreed. They even said, in so many words, Ricky continues to just "barely make it." You'd think after several weeks of that, they'd ditch him. I didn't love Kevin in general but I thought Ricky was a lot more ready to go. I think all his stuff looks a little too Frederick's of Hollywood-- that same crappy, cheap material you see on all their clothes in the catalog. (I have no idea why I get the catalog, but I do!) I thought the dress was very appropriate, too. It was perfect for a 17 year old. Sweet P's was pretty but a bit sophisticated for a prom. The jewels grew on me, too. At first I was, like, oh boy, this isn't going to end well but when it came down the runway, I really liked it. I really loved the shape. |
Oh, and I think Rami should be banned from using jersey material from the next challenge and see what happens... |
barney1 wrote: Oh, and I think Rami should be banned from using jersey material from the next challenge and see what happens...
Is it just me but was last night's dress from Romy dangerously close to the one from the first week, except shorter and without the flower? |
I thought so too. With the drape over the shoulder? |
Yeah. The drape was even on the same side. I actually really liked the dress for me, just not for a young girl for prom. |
ButtersStotch wrote: barney1 wrote: Oh, and I think Rami should be banned from using jersey material from the next challenge and see what happens... And I know he said that he designed the prom dress in his style, I hope he has more to 'his style' than the same old drapey jersey dress. I mean, I guess it's okay to have a certain genre and signature style, but on PR it gets boring! |
ohh this is my favorite show. My fashion week predictions are: Jillian, Rami, and Christian.
I think Ricky should be sent home because I'm sick of him crying about how much he's overcome, we get it already! |
Lil Walty wrote: ohh this is my favorite show. My fashion week predictions are: Jillian, Rami, and Christian.
I agree. I think you've got that right. My moneys on Jillian to take it all. I really REALLY hated the washed out dress Ricky made. It really looked horrible. When I was about 6, my mom made a ballerina dress for me (she didn't know how to sew, but that is what I wanted), and it looked just like Ricky's prom dress. EEEKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
I'm in the minority but I liked Ricky's dress. I'm sure it wasn't washed out in real life as it showed on tv. I like Ricky, think he has potential, but for Pete's sake, stop the sobbing! I was sure he would have been gone after he spun the story about being poor and mamma was a seamstress to make money, etc. The only 2 dresses that looked like PROM dresses were Sweet Pea's and Chris.' The others looked like dressy dresses for weddings but weren't formal enough for prom. Michael Kors knows nothing about what 17 year old girls want and apparently made the comment that only gay men can design prom dresses! So why he gave the win to that stick-in-the-mud Victor*a, I don't know.
Rami, enough with draping. |
Last night was awesome. I loved Chris and Christian's dress. It was perfect for the challenge and I loved their photo shoot picture at the end! Jillian and Victorya did a nice job, too though. I loved that coat. I didn't think it was too avant garde to actually wear either. |
Last night WAS great! I was so tired and I made myself stay up to watch it!
Yeah, Chris and Christian's dress was awesome. They made a really great pair, too, because Chris is SO over the top with some of his designs and Christian is a little more fashiony, so put them together and it made a great avant garde outfit. And I really liked their ready to wear piece too. It was totally wearable, yet it was completely related to the original piece. Jillian and Victorya's pieces were good, but their ready to wear was okay. It didn't look all that polished to me. But the jacket was awesome. Is it in the rules that the team leader gets eliminated? I think I would have eliminated Ricky over Kit... Oh, and who is sponsoring them this year? I realized there isn't a Macy's or a Banana sponsoring it. Is it just Tresemme? |
I felt bad for Kit, because I thought her corsette and apron were a neat idea. Also did anyone notice that the outfit she was wearing would have been a great "ready-to-wear" look for her piece? I thought it should have been Ricky to go too.
I'm so glad that Chris and Christian won, they did a great job. I think bluefly.com is the sponsor this year, which is a much better fit then Macy's ever was. |
Team Fierce owned the runway. I loved their avant garde look. Obviously nobody could ever wear it but it was the coolest. Fortunately I taped the show because apparently I missed Sweet Pea and Big Chris saying the headpiece can call Elisa's home planet. Hee. I cannot believe Ricky is still there--he's like the cockroach of PR. I like him but he is consistently at the bottom of the standings. Dollars to donuts he'll be aufed next week.
Jillian and Victor*a? I have a pair of jodphurs JUST LIKE THE ONES YOU DESIGNED. Hardly avant garde if a 50 year old woman in South Elgin, Illinois owns them. |
I missed last night's episode, but I have to chime in that I love this season. I am surprised that none of our Hershey, PA, area folks have not chimed in about the Hershey outfits. That was the best!!! |
Ok...I finally saw it last night and loved it! I don't know if I can say this here, but Rami is a d*ck! He was such a jerk to Sweet P. His outfit had that stupid over the left shoulder drape again! EEEKKKK! He's kinda like Laura of last year...same old, same old...over and over. I loved the off the rack dresss Sweet P did. LOVED IT! Chris and Christian are adorable together...sorta Mutt and Jeff. And they really nailed it! Paula I like comment about the "space" planet too. I felt really badly for Kit, she is far more talented than Ricky. Can't figure out why he's still there. Ok...final 3? Jillian Chris Christian, or Sweet P? |
VerveUp wrote: I missed last night's episode, but I have to chime in that I love this season. I am surprised that none of our Hershey, PA, area folks have not chimed in about the Hershey outfits. That was the best!!!
I'm ashamed that I went over to Chocolate World hoping that they'd be there on display. There wasn't anything on the website or around town that said anything about the auction either. |
Maxmm wrote: 'm ashamed that I went over to Chocolate World hoping that they'd be there on display.
There wasn't anything on the website or around town that said anything about the auction either. They were auctioned?? I especially loved the Twizzlers dress. I can see you wearing that at a dog show. |
okay...you all have to stop writing about this because i havent seen the episode yet....and i keep reading your posts...so stop till tomorrow....
thank you |
I did the same thing Darcy. Just read the posts without thinking about it before I saw the episodes. D'oh!!!
I can't remember exactly when it was during the Hershey episode but they said that the outfits would be auctioned off. Still havent' seen anything about it. |
I went to their website, www.projectrunway.com and apparently they auction all the designs. However, there isn't any mention of the candy clothes. I bet that will be a charity thing. BTW...it says all outfits are size 0-2 built to 5'10 -6'2 heights. |
So the prom girls and the women who lost weight didn't get to keep their outfits? That's weird that they were auctioned off. |
I thought it was weird, too. Especially because they are such tiny sizes, and some are soooo bad! |
Well, I could be wrong, but I would think most people buying something like these outfits in an auction won't actually want to be wearing them.
Wow, a size 0-2 for a 6 foot tall person. I'm 5'3" and a 0 and I'm pretty small (well, not at the moment), so I can't imagine how skeletal those girls must be! |
Yah!!! This is the first week I haven't jumped in here and read what happened before I got to see the episode!
AND yah!!! Victorya is gone!! |
RATS! I haven't seen it yet! (Don't feel bad, I still like watching the show!) |
Not only is Victor*a gone, but Crying Ricky won! I actually like Ricky though. And surprisesurprise, Rami can actually design something that isn't draped jersey. Although he draped as well as he could with denim. And it seems a few designers only have one or two designs in their portfolios because they keep. designing. the. same. thing.
Sweet Pea should have won. Her dress was very cool and wearable. |
Last night's episode was okay. There wasn't anyone who I HAD to have off the show or anyone that was AMAZING (or fierce!). I grudgingly liked Ricky's outfit, although he annoys me. And I didn't particularly like Sweet P's outfit, but saw that it was nicely made. I can't believe that Jillian decided to make ANOTHER jacket the very next challenge after having made a jacket.
I'm still liking this season, but nothing is wowing me. |
I fought falling asleep all night only to finally give in to the fight right after the runway show. I had to check it out this morning again. Who were the final two--in other words it was between Victorya and who being voted off? |
The bottom 2 were Jillian and Victorya--both did jackets. And both were bleh.
Ricky won, Christian had immunity, and Chris and Rami and Sweet P were Safe. |
Last night's episode was good! I liked the challenge. I thought it was a good way to show what they could do for a tacky-type outfit and make it not look tacky (except for Ricky and Sweet P!). I loved the hood from Chris' outfit and I liked Jillian's outfit too.
Wouldn't that be crazy if Chris won the whole thing when he was kicked off earlier in the show? (I don't think he'll win--not couture enough--but I still think it'd be fun) |
I thought the challenge was weird. I just couldn't get into it but I know nothing about wrestling. But I agree with you--I love that Chris won and wouldn't it be a hoot if he made it to Fashion Week and won the whole thing! I'm not into the "glad Ricky is gone" thing. I didn't think he was that great of a designer but he was a nice enough guy. And I'm totally sick of Christian and his attitude, especially him making that face when Big Chris won.
Oh, and Jillian? Rami is gay. Every woman at one time has thought of conversion but never succeeded. Stay off his bed. |
So the Fashion Week runway show is for Project Runway is Friday but there's been a leak about who 2 of the contestants are. Anybody want to know? |
NO! |
YES. Mandy, PM me.
Although I (and everyone else) will bet 2 of them are Rami and Jillian. |
I think Christian has it in the bag. |
If Christian keeps up with his attitude, Big Chris may sit on him, rendering him unable to get to Fashion Week. |
I LOVE big Chris. I wish he would win it all but I think his good work is more specific, than overall so I am figuring he won't be winning. |
Chris and Christian are my favorites too. I thought the Diva challenge was hysterical! To me - that's what this whole show is all about. Anyone should be able to make a high fashion dress for a typical model (although, as we've seen, some can't). But it takes talent and vision to take a wacky challenge, like a postal uniform or a skating costume or a wrestling costume, and give it a fashionable edge. I thought Chris, Christian and Jillian did really well. |
I think Christian is going to end up like Austin on Season 1. One design will get him thrown out.
I would however love to see him freaking out backstage at fashion week. He'd be so squealy!!! |
Okay, we've been had!!!
All 5 of the finalists showed at Fashion Week!!! Think it's a cover or did they let all 5 show? |
It better be a cover. If they keep this up, in a couple of more seasons, EVERYONE will be showing. |
I don't understand why they can't get the timing right on PR. You'd think they'd start it early enough so that only 3 are left by the time Fashion Week happens. I can't believe they had Posh Spice as the guest judge for the finale. She doesn't seem to have much of a personality. |
It seems the show has lost the concept of a "contest" and is now just entertainment. Which is fine with me. I predict Christian's collection will consist of tight skirts, tight pants, and tight jackets with puffy sleeves. Everything in Rami's collection will be draped jersey with asymmetrical boobage. Sweet Pea's will either be totally meh, or very nice ready to wear. Jillian's will have at least ONE coat and everything else will be boring. Chris', of course, will rock.
And I don't care who wins, especially since Posh Spice is one of the judges. Think she'll hold Heidi in contempt for her "it looks like something David Beckham would wear" comment? And Posh Spice has no class or taste. It seems that the non-winners from past seasons do just as well as those who won. I hear Laura Bennett is going to debut a line on QVC sometime soon. I think I'm too emotionally vested in this show. Note to self: get a life. |
Paula my friend, why should you have to wait? Here are pictures from all of the collections:
http://www.sparklies.org/gallery/index.php?cat=141 I wish I could be there with you drinking Scotch and commenting on the fashion. Sue |
Chris is still my favorite! That collection was awesome!! I would like to have the face dress. Also, I think I know what happened to all that hair I cut off.
Chris' silouhettes were very couture. Nobody in real life has legs that thin! I hate Jillian's hemlines. Rami's stuff was okay but not exciting. It was okay. Poor Sweet Pea. Her materials looked so old and cheap. It's like she was shopping at the fabric warehouse or maybe Ollies. The stitching on her stuff also didn't look right. A lot of her satins were puckering. |
Sue, too bad we can't go to Fashion Week and sit in the front row. I would make my snark loud enough for others to hear......
I don't want to look at the pics but I know I'll cave before the episodes air. |
When is the finale? |
I LOVE Posh Spice! I think she's a good choice for a guest judge. And did anyone see her reality show from when she moved to America? She's quite funny. Although I haven't seen what she acts like as the judge on PR.
Yeah, I think it's a little strange that they can't get the timing quite right with the Fashion Week shows. I mean, they know when Fashion Week is way in advance; you'd think it'd be enough time for them to whittle down the contestants and then give the finalists time to work on their shows. I do like having 3 people as finalists, though (wasn't it only 1 the first season or two?) |
I thought I would like Christian's stuff the best, but I really liked Rami and Jillinan's the best. I thought the Rami did some really need stuff with the fabric he used and I want that short red skirt with the pockets! |
I'm not looking. I want to be surprised. |
me too! So everyone stop talking about it! |
So, according to last night, Sweet P is gone so now I'm really wondering what's going on.
I can't believe they didn't kick Rami out immediately for yet another DRAPED garment. Jillian and Christian did a great job and I really liked Chris's even if it did look similar to the last one. Heck, if Cavalli liked it, that says something! |
What I've figured from other sites is that all 5 show at Bryant Park/Fashion Week, but only 3 are in contention for the grand prize from PR. I predict Jillian will win. I'm not a fan oher stuff (it's o.k.) but I can see that she could have some range in her work.
And Cavelli telling Chris he'd be fab doing haute couture? What a compliment! And I agree, Rami should be been booted for his 8th consecutive draped garment. The man tried to drape DENIM, fer Pete's sake. |
I felt bad for Cavalli not knowing that Chris had just done almost the same outfit earlier with Christian, since he was saying he LOVED it and all the other judges were getting upset with Chris.
But, I loved Chris' outfit. Sort of loved Christian's. I could 'see' it, and see how intricate it was, but it seemed a little poofy for me. Jillian's outfit was cool, Rami's was lame, and Sweet P's was meh. I think it was definitely time for Sweet P to go, but Rami could have just as easily have gone too for me. I wonder if the challenge was created after they all knew his NEED to drape--I wonder if they added in the Grecian room to see if he'd fall for the bait. Maybe even if he had draped something in a different way. I don't know. I'm over him. But how fun is it that Chris has made it to the finals when he was once kicked out! |
I fell asleep halfway through last night and my favorite designer is the judge? Geesh! Where's a rerun when I need it? |
Maxmm wrote: I fell asleep halfway through last night and my favorite designer is the judge? Geesh! Where's a rerun when I need it?
Just wait an hour. I'm sure they'll be a rerun on soon! They LOVE to re-show their shows on Bravo! |
Well it's usually on at 11:00 on Thursday but no, of course not today!!
It's being rerun at 9:00 tonight so I'm going to need to take a nap just so I'm ready to go! |
I never "hit" this show the first time it airs, but always get to see it a multitude of times over the coming week. |
Yeah but I'll be out of the country and won't get to see it if I miss it tonight! |
Maxmm wrote: Yeah but I'll be out of the country and won't get to see it if I miss it tonight!
Out of the country? Do tell... |
My dad's getting married and the wedding is in Mexico. My sister and I are in the wedding and my dad's fiance has now bought us 3 dresses each because she keeps changing her mind. I have to find somewhere to wear the other dresses. I was debating laying on the beach in them. |

Ooh, fun. Perhaps you can use them as beach towels? |
Oooh, beach in Mexico sounds nice right about now! Have an alcoholic beverage for me please!
Are they at least nice dresses that you could possibly wear elsewhere or are they too wedding-y? |
The first one is nice. The second one, eh. Haven't seen the third one yet, I'm kind of scared. |
Have a wonderful trip! I'm envious! (I finally got to use the green guy!) |
You can vicariously join me. http://www.royalresorts.com/webcam.php
I'm at the Caribbean. |
Ok...ok...now I'm sitting at my desk in snowy, freezing Chicago...weeping. Thanks...just thanks! But! Have a great time! |
Maxmm wrote: The first one is nice. The second one, eh. Haven't seen the third one yet, I'm kind of scared.
Since it's your dad, and it's apparently not his first marriage, I assume that this is not the first marriage for the fiancee and that she's not really young? I can see someone obsessing about bridesmaid dresses for their first wedding, but not later on in life. |
Right about my dad but it's her first wedding. She just suddenly decided that she wanted something a little more traditional with matching dresses and all that. She's cool so it's okay but I am still scared of the mystery dress! |
I think it's nice that your dad is saving a spinster. |
HA HA HA That was terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved it! |
So, did people watch the reunion show last night? Dude, what was up with Carmen being so sensitive! |
I know! Whatever, Carmen. Kit didn't even say anything bad. It was more just "better her, than me." Who wouldn't think that in the competition? |
And then when Heidi said that her outfit was one of the worst of the season when talking about the menswear challenge and said the challenge as a whole was bad, with jackets going out without shirts and just scarves...Carmen was wiping away tears and said Thanks, Heidi. lol I mean, you HAD to know that that was one of the worst outfits of the season since it wasn't even FINISHED...and it's not like Heidi said Carmen's outfit was the worst, she just described it.
Okay, last season I was unsure as to whether or not Michael Knight was gay. Last night he seemed to be a lot more clear to me as to his orientation. He seems like such a sweet guy though. Poor Sweet P was practically BEGGING for that $10,000 fan favorite check! |
I was surprised Christian got it. I really thought Chris would. |
debcram wrote: I was surprised Christian got it. I really thought Chris would.
Christian is definitely my favorite - that attitude is hysterical. Did anyone catch Danny on AI on Tuesday? During the judges comments, he made a comment to Simon that could have come out of Christian's mouth. |
I thought the show was a big snooze. No drama, no gossip, nothing. Except montages of Ricky crying and Christian saying "fierce." At this point I don't even think I'll watch the Fashion Week episodes.
Did Chris and Rami look like they were "together?" |
I was thinking the same thing about Chris and Rami! I do know that Jack has started dating Dale from the last Top Chef and they were supposed to be the first Bravo couple. Maybe Chris and Rami are the second?
The show felt like they edited out anything juicy or gossipy. Maybe this season was more like past seasons than we all thought but they just kept the cattiness and bitching to a minimum through the beauty of editing. OHHHHHH and P.S.!!! The Hershey dresses have materialized in Hershey!! I took one pic with my phone but I have to go back and take the good camera! |
Even though I thought it would be Rami, I was really hoping it would be Chris. You have to respect a risk like human hair! |
Have they announced the winner? I thought it was next week. I can't stay up late enough to catch it the first time, I always catch a repeat. |
I don't know why Nina was so enamored with that one dress of Rami's. I thought it was okay, but it seemed to make her hips look big and it just didn't do it for me. I was definitely happy to not see 3 draped dresses go down the runway, though!
I liked Chris's outfits, especially the middle one (the lacey one). That was pretty crazy that he used human hair for it! I loved Michael Kors' face! I pretty much figured it'd be Rami, since he will be more marketable afterwards, but I thought Chris did great. |
OH MY GOSH! DID CHRIS GO????????????? No wait, don't tell me...yes, tell me! No wait, don't tell me...yes, tell me! No wait, don't tell me...yes, tell me!No wait, don't tell me...yes, tell me! |
Bailey's Mom wrote: Have they announced the winner? I thought it was next week. I can't stay up late enough to catch it the first time, I always catch a repeat.
No, the finale is next week. Last night's episode was just the decider between Chris and Rami. |
Sorry Deborah, but Big Chris got aufed. So the final 3 are Jillian, Sister Christian and Rami. I'm hoping Jillian wins.
I'm sorry Big Chris is gone, but he had such a good attitude about it. As the episode was closing, we heard his crazy laugh echoing through Parsons. I predict he'll have success as a designer--as proven by the previous 3 seasons, you don't have to win PR to do well. Plus his stuff is so cool. Maybe he'll move to Paris where he will be appreciated. |
Chris totally grew on me, I was not a fan of his in the beginning but after he came back he totally just got better as the season progressed. That being said, I was rooting for Rami, I think he's just a better designer.
I actually think this season is the only one where I can't pick a favorite. I think I'm going to go with Jillian though, that jacket they were showing was awesome, I would totally wear it. |
I adored Chris. He is not an off the rack designer though. But I loved his big personality. Yes, Paris will make him their darling. Rami's designs are beautiful, he just pissed me off when I saw how he treated others when they worked in teams. Christian is a doll and very up to date...more so than me, so I don't identify with his designs. But I'm too old to have my oppinion count. Now Jillian...I really love her stuff. Very wearable for young woman, and for woman of my age. I'm hoping she takes it! |
debcram wrote: But I'm too old to have my oppinion count. What kind of nonsense talk is that!!??? The only way anyone could look good in Sister's clothes is if you are 6 foot tall and weigh 100 pounds. He does not design for a real woman, but that's because he is sooo young. I want Jillian to win, but Christian will. And fall flat on his face in the years to come. Because NOBODY wants to wear feathered pants. |
Who was the goofy, tattooed guy that won last year? You know, the a**hole that was so mean to the mother he was designing for? I HATED HIS STUFF! And I don't believe I've heard a word about him since the show. If Christian wins (sister! I love that!) I'm afraid the same thing will happen to him, because the age group he is designing for can't afford designer clothes, so they will have to be mass produced by the likes of H&M. |
Well, I think that's where I have an issue with Project Runway. They seem to be torn on the issue themselves. It seems like they have a hard time trying to find the next big 'fashion designer' like someone you'd see do the fancy, crazy shows in Paris, and a great, everyday real person designer. They talk about avant garde and then talk about marketability. But the real designers who show in Paris have their runway collections and then their ready to wear collections. Very few of their runway designs are actually worn as they are presented.
So it's like, are they wanting someone who will be fabulous and avant garde and design fun crazy thing? Or do they want a good designer that real people want to buy the clothes. Oh, and Deb, you mean Jeffrey! But...really, where are ANY of the past designers? Although I guess since I'm not super into fashion (don't get me wrong, I LOVE clothes and shopping, but I'm not in that 'world') then maybe I just don't know what they've been up to since PR. |
Laura Bennett (3rd season) and Chloe Dao (2nd year winner) have clothing for sale on QVC. Laura had her tv debut earlier this week. Malan (from season 2 or 3, I think 2, British accent) has had successful shows in NY.
Jay (season 1 winner) and Jeffrey (last season's winner) aren't nearly as visible as other designers who didn't win. Which tells me that Big Chris, while he won't win, will be more successful than the winner (who will be Christian but I hope I'm wrong). Jeffrey completely scared me. That neck tatto is frightening. Barney's mom, you nailed it. The producers and judges don't know WHAT they want on the show. Project Rungay is a hysterical site and gives updates on designers. I've spent many a evening reading their blogs. http://projectrungay.blogspot.com/ |
Yeah, see if former contestants (who either won or were in the last few) are selling their stuff on QVC, I mean, it's not exactly high fashion. It sounds like they're spread out all across the board as to what they end up doing with their newfound 'fame' and exposure. |
I'm so surprised Laura is selling on QVC. She was such an uppity one! |
I loved last night. It made me happy that I didn't peek at the previews on the internet because I enjoyed being surprised. I thought everyone did a great job, although I definitely agreed that Rami's colors ruined his stuff. Jillian and Christian both had fantastic collections. Christian's feather dress was INSANE. It was gorgeous. I love feathers and volume and all that stuff so his whole line was right up my alley. |
I'm so bummed. I was too tired to watch it last night and I was trying to avoid finding out who won, but then I went online somewhere and it said! I was mad! Usually they have it so you have to click in to see who won. That said, I can't wait to watch it tonight! |
They had it printed in the Chicago Tribune this morning, too. And...I hadn't seen the show yet. Can't wait! |
I only watched the beginning and vowed not to cheat to find out who actually won. Then, Regis and Kelly came on and there was the freakin' winner. I hate when that happens! |
I was even careful not to blow it for everyone! |
sigh...was going to watch it tonight....and they blew it for me on the Today show this morning..... |
I did not like Rami's first few dresses (I think they were all blue) but then when the models were coming out with those woven corseted dresses, I was like WOW. I really loved most of everyone's collection. I think this is the first time I've really felt that ALL the finalists really had a ton of talent. Can't wait to see next season! |
Ok...I watched it last night....AND FELL ASLEEP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure it will be rerun about 100 times this weekend. |
debcram wrote: I'm sure it will be rerun about 100 times this weekend. I hope so - it's on too darn late for me to catch it the first time. In past seasons it's been easy to catch a rerun but this year I've been having a hard time. |
sue, what time was it actually on...i dvred it for the 8 pm and hte 9 pm because the listings were so vauge...and neither of them were the right one....grrrrrr...i better see it some time this week too! |
Darcy--it's usually on here at 10pm, but I don't know if you're in that weird time zone where they start prime time tv at like 4 in the afternoon. |
it always said 10/9c....which would mean normally 9 pm.....but it never was...this is the first year that i watched it, but only in rerun form....i could never figure out what time it was on....... |
The finale was on at 11pm. That's why I've missed the last two episodes 10/9 central is the east coast broadcast, but we catch the west coast broadcast of Bravo, so it's 10 Pacific, 11 Arizona. Until next week. |
well now that makes sense.....sort of...11 pm?? what were they thinking?? |

With with a DVR, you should be able to search for the show in the guide to record it. Usually there's a function where you can search for it alphabetically, by genre or something else and then you can set it to record all new episodes as they air-- then you never have to worry about doing it week to week. |
Anyone catch SNL last night? There was a funny Project Runway parody. Amy Poehler did Christian perfectly! |
