I had a ton of contractions yesterday evening and the kind of pain I had last time in the pelvic area a few days before "the big night" so at least it's getting closer. Then again, no matter how I look at it... it's getting closer. In-laws come Sat night (dot)(dot)(dot) (37 wks: almost 4 cm, 75% effaced) 21 days until due date, 4 days until Mr. J's prediction is wrong |
|
You look mahhhhvelous!!!!! We're all counting with you!!!!!!!
(There are many preggers on the forum...I think Ron should look for a preggeremoticon.....) |
You look beautiful!!!! I am so excited for you! Is that you pup behind you? |
Yep, that's Yuksters ....and I'm wearing the largest clothes I have. Comfy, Comfy! I don't even plan on bringing shoes to the hospital (not even to leave) ...just slippers. |
I think he's going to hold out until the night of the Lost premier just so that you'll have to miss it! |
VerveUp wrote: I think he's going to hold out until the night of the Lost premier just so that you'll have to miss it!
If only I was allowed to post the words and face I made when I read that. I even ran to my husband (who is asleep) to tell him what you cursed on me. On that note, I TOTALLY FORGOT that could happen!!! I need to get everyone on a schedule so they sleep by 7 p.m. ....at least until 8 p.m. on the 31st!!! |
Joahaeyo wrote: ....at least until 8 p.m. on the 31st!!!
I can't wait, although I already forgot what happened last season. |
Reality shows...bleah! You have enough reality! You don't look that big to me. Was the first little J early? I am still pushing for my anniversary...27th of Jan. That wouldn't be that far off considering your due date...but no one knows. |
VerveUp wrote: Joahaeyo wrote: ....at least until 8 p.m. on the 31st!!! I can't wait, although I already forgot what happened last season. They are going to replay the season finale from last season on the 30th (the day before), so that'll help remind us what happened... J, hang in there! |

I think the season premiere is also 2 hours...but the first hour is just one of their clip shows to catch everyone up on the story again. Hopefully you will have safely delivered new J and be settled in at home for the premiere |
VerveUp wrote: I think he's going to hold out until the night of the Lost premier just so that you'll have to miss it!
Sorry Mrs J, I couldn't help but laugh at this..... I went into labor 15 minutes before the Seinfeld series finale. Luckily they replayed it the next week.... but now a days you can just watch it on the web. I am going to say 38 weeks is when it's gonna happen. Hang in there!!! I remember the feeling like it was yesterday.... Hayley will be three on the 27th. That stuff does not fade from your memory so quickly. Another reason my kids are 7+ years apart. |

It was my birthday and NONE of my friends wanted to go out because they all wanted to watch the Seinfeld finale. They didn't even watch it normally! At least the show was on at 9pm so I could drag them out after that! |

Hope the days pass quickly for you. Marianne |
Since I know I can't post much while the in-laws are here ......just wanted to say I made it another night. HOWEVER, we almost didn't think I would. I had extremely painful contractions in the middle of the night which is what happened last time for a few days before the day.
What stinks is, Mr. J has a very important class to take, offered once a month for 3 days, starting Monday that's all day.... and he can't start looking for a job until he takes it, so I'm now stressed it will happen then. I don't want to wait longer for baby J, but I almost think it would be for the best. He already lost so much time due to Iraq, the holiday season, and of course this month being baby month. |
forgot about inlaws being there.
Sounds like it might be soon....and yes, Thursday or Wednesday night is preferred, but if the stork just has to come during these next few days, so be it. Please put yourself in baby mode and let your guests do what they want in effort to be helpful. They will be happier and you can undo the damage later. Baby J-bean needs your full concentration now. |
As a wise elderly friend of mine says... "when dealing with family keep your nose clean... and apply plenty of oil" meaning just keep them happy & they will soon be off your back |
It will have to be Thursday, since American Idol is Tuesday and Wednesday!!!! |
My mil and I are excited about American Idol. |
Not a single contraction (except when I went to bed) last night. I've loaded my pistol, and I'm thinking of standing in the middle of my backyard where wolves are known to be. Okay, j/k but I was feeling positive after last night.
2 more days until Mr. J is wrong. 18 days until due date 4 more days until Ron's bday |
Why not expect him/her on your due date, then if it comes early you will have a pleasant suprise |
So, how do you feel Mrs J? Did you bet any money on the date with Mr J? |
We can't dismiss Mr. J's prediction; afterall, he was there from the beginning. I don't think Ron was
Still rooting for my mother's B-day, the 17th. Oh yes, must order flowers! |
Keep thinking about how nice it would be to be done by the weekend, with a nice swaddling of Capricorn joy. Think wee hours of Friday, just after midnight! |
Where the heck did my contractions go??? Grrr... I told you that God is way too good to me. There was no way I'd have the baby during Mr. J's workshop even though we got the word he can miss a day of it. My MIL scheduled a dinner Wednesday night with old friends in hopes that if something big is planned for all of us (with old friends of hers here in Alaska) ....then I'll go. |
I was just thinking aobut you last night and wondering if you hadn't been posting because you were busy having a baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
I have another appt Friday that I NEVER thought I'd make it to (on Ron's bday), but I have definitely shifted and changed a LOT this morning! My cervix is completely in the front now and very stretched (normally it's located as far back as your butt). Jumping hurts like hell now, so that's what I've been doing when I remember. |
Motor cycle ride on a bumpy road
HEY, this semester as part of my Critical Care Course I have to see at least 5 live births (last semester it was traumas). COULD I COME DELIVER YOUR BABY |
Go Joah!!
Let's get this lil fellow out of there!! |
PUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Thanks for the encouragement! For the first time I've been excited because I haven't been able to walk at all today due to pressure. May be in the next few days *crosses fingers*
Sorry not signed in... in-laws are here, so I always log on while I'm cooking and have a few seconds. |
Had to go teach in Santa Fe for two days and fully expected to come home to baby news. Yeah gads Baby Bean, it is time to make a show! |
What we need is a giant surface low to come over your head. Drop in air pressure usually drops babies. Is there a bigging storm coming? I guess I could log onto the various meterology web sites and see for myself. Hmmm, what's happening in Siberia.................... |
Hang in there 'til late Thursday night! You can do it! |
TMI BELOW
Well another sign today of more b----- show! Either you know what it means from a previous post or you don't want to know. Plus, the pains keep getting worse (pressure) |
Don't think you will make it until the 27th...maybe it will be the 17th...you can't have much longer with all of this going on...come on little bean!!!! |
FEB 1st
Not allowed to go earlier |
Mrs. J each time I read your updates I feel your pain. Those Braxton Hicks are a pain in the...... I remember not getting much sleep in the last month due to the pain and pressure. My last baby was 3 wks late, sigh. Just remember, the longer baby stays the more developed the lungs. January 22nd seems to have a lot of people born on that date, my nephew, Philip, and granddaugther, Payton Grace. to name a few.
Hang in there and treat yourself like a queen....you deserve it. |
Hang in there, soon you will have a sweet bundle of joy |
Hows it going Mrs J?? Lots of love, hugs & sheepie kisses |
I've been having a lot of back problems the last few weeks.
I told my sister that I felt like I was 9 months pregnant. I can't reach my feet, I walk funny and have trouble getting out of a chair. But I don't get a baby in the end. Hang in there. Your sweet blessing will be here soon. |
Morning everyone.
I'm E-X-T-R-E-M-E-L-Y grumpy this morning, but I wanted to stop in to get a little "fresh air" sorta speak before I started the day. Every night I keep this on. I hope to post right before I go to the hospital ...if I ever do before I go gray and wear Depends. |
I know how frustrated you are. But, before you know it, Baby J will be here, and you'll not remember this frustration. Hang in there! Cuz we're here hangin' with you!!! |
I'm sure I'd be grumpy too.
I hope for your sake, today's the day. |
Poor J! It's almost over... |
Grumpy?? Well, of course. You hurt, you'd sleep if baby bean wasn't playing soccer inside of you. You have houseguests destroying your routine (but remembering that's grandparent's priority). You are ready to move on to more diapers, 2 hour feedings, etc. Fortunately all this madness will be forgotten. Meditation....."visualize" the soccer game going on inside you..............oooommmmm. |
Thanks SheepieBoss! The in-laws have been great and haven't gotten on my nerves, and I've even let them help me with a few things. I DO still hear "you need to let us do this, that ...after I'm already in the process of doing it or expressed that I'm doing these things b/c I WANT THE BABY OUT" ...but I know they are just trying to be useful b/c they care. I think this will be their best trip here. I was afraid to be alone with them for 3 days w/o Mr. J (to break the ice), but my mil have done nothing but give the guys a headache from all our chatting. All we hear is......."do you women HEAR US TURNING UP THE VOLUME ON THE TV *hint*"
It's just hard carrying a baby 2 wks past what you did last time (as many of you mommys know). Mr. J is starting to worry that the baby isn't okay. He doesn't move much inside now, so he's always afraid there's something wrong. In case I go soon (i keep a scrapbook of everything) ...here's the most recent pic at 38 wks |
Quote: He doesn't move much inside now, so he's always afraid there's something wrong.
My friends daughter just had a baby. She rushed to the doctors a few days before delivery because she hadn't felt the baby move. Everything was fine. He was in position and ready to go. It is getting pretty crampped in there. Not as easy to move around when it is in position. Sounds like it won't be long. |
Ok, first picture: kitty on left, some black thing on the floor.....muddy Maltese??, little J in background. Second picture the Yukster asking for her picture too.
Glad going well with in-laws....will they be able to stay for delivery? Yeah, guys don't understand gals' need to "network" around the table. They must pass on heritage by silent male bonding......we have to be a bit more verbal. We have to know more and can't rely on osmosis. |
Aw, you look adorable and sound like you are ready to go! Good luck! |
SheepieBoss wrote: Ok, first picture: kitty on left, some black thing on the floor.....muddy Maltese??, little J in background. Second picture the Yukster asking for her picture too.
I was looking at that too. Everybody wants to know what Mommy is doing. Your belly is pretty low, baby J should come very soon! Have you been in any pain in the last...hmmm....day? Hang in there Mrs J it's almost over! |
you are probably going to shoot me. IF your Dr. doesn't enduce you before (most normally will NOT let you go 2 weeks over) I will say you will deliver on the 20th or 21st. (full moon) UNLESS you have a major snow storm with huge drop in barometric pressure. Those were the 2 times we had the labor floor's overflowing.........
I'm so sorry you are so uncomfortable........... Baby isn't moving much as there just isn't any more room in there TO move! Has your doc thought of doing an Ultra sound to measure the pockets of amniotic fluid? the lenght of the long bones? These will help definatly determine exact date due at this point....... Hang in there............... and lot's and lot's of huggs........... Ali |
Orange juice always got mine moving if I was worried. |
If those pants get any lower, we're gonna see the back of your knees.
Go 18th! |
lol, if the baby gets any lower ...I think it'll have a bent head from me laying on it. I'm hoping for the 18th too since it was my date I guessed.
Ali, yes... I was measured around 36 wks (right before that or maybe a little over 36 wks...can't remember), and they were low ....so they were sure he was coming soon! My nurse said she'd strip my membranes this Friday so I can go into labor BUT she said this before we knew when my appt was... she'll be in Hawaii She's the easy one I can manipulate. The one I will see in her place won't ...and the second black thing on the ground is my other cat |
I say you go into labor the 20th and have him on the 21st! |
Hoping you don't go into labour before you watch the second part of American Idol tonight.....the laughter will do you good!!!
We know Baby J will be healthy and sooooo adorable its going to be worth the wait. |
See, they stripped my membranes too, because they thought I'd go early (was 3cm and 75% for over a month before my due date, close to like 2 months) I still got induced a week late, only because I didn't have enough amniotic fluid....maybe a leak they said. I carried super low, so low I didn't drop. But watch the next one will be the complete opposite knowing my luck...... Good luck sweetie, hang in there.....he's gotta come out eventually. |
Bless your heart Jo--- It will all be over soon and that precious bundle will be here!!!
|
I say the 19th. Hurry up Baby J!!! |
anyone here from her today????? |
Ali wrote: anyone here from her today????? Hang in there baby J. Only 5 more hours until the 18th. |
Yes Ali, she posted in other threads earlier today. |
Thanks Elissa................... sighhhhhhhh poor thing i know she has to be uncomfortable! BUT we haven't heard from her tonight!!! |
Thanks Ali. Notta and I've pretty much been stuck in bed since b/c I can't move w/o crying from all the pressure. The GOOD news is I have an appt today. I just hope she'll irritate the cervix enough to get me to go into labor. This is the last night (tonight) my in-laws will be here to help!
I almost feel like trying castrol oil! |
Spagetti with tons of garlic! Honest! |
Good luck! Hope labor is speedy fast!!! |
debcram wrote: Spagetti with tons of garlic! Honest!
Funny because we're having chicken Parmesan and spaghetti tonight. Maybe I need a special pot just for me! I'll post back after my appt this morning (which will be late afternoon for east coasters). |
Honey, make some seriously garlicy garlic bread!! good luck today! |
Joahaeyo wrote: I'll post back after my appt this morning (which will be late afternoon for east coasters).
It's late afternoon. Are you back yet? |
She has to get home to eat her garlic bread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually, wouldn't be a hoot if she had Baby J on Ron's birthday?! |
Crossing our fingers and paws that we'll have some baby news soon |
I need baby news!!! I can't stand it!!! |
Hang in there Mrs. J. Soon you will be holding that precious bundle of joy! And not getting any sleep and you'll wish you were still pregnant. |
I'm starting to pace...and getting anxious to break out the cigars! Where is Mrs. J?????????????????????????? |
She has got to be having the baby...she always keeps us up to date. |
I'm betting it is late late tonight or tomorrow morning very early........... |
What do I win if she has the baby on the 19th? |
Didn't they have a dinner planned with some friends of her in-laws tonight? Maybe that is where she is. BUT- I HOPE she is in the hospital! |
I'm betting that she went into her appt today, and the not only stripped her membranes, but sent her to be induced. Which means baby here today/night or early tomorrow morning.
|
Pepsi's Mommy wrote: What do I win if she has the baby on the 19th?
Pride! Gosh...I hope she's having this baby! |
debcram wrote: Pepsi's Mommy wrote: What do I win if she has the baby on the 19th? Pride! Gosh...I hope she's having this baby! Me too! |
Ok...Ok...if we haven't heard from her by now...she is definately in labor! (don't ya think?) |
Isn't it Ron's birthday on the 19th??? |
No, Ron's Birthday is today. |
No news is good news
PUSH Mrs J PUSH. |
just checking in and hoping all is well |
she's havin that baby tonight! I'll bet cha!! |
I hope it is baby time, but wasn't this (the 18th) the last day the inlaws were here? Maybe they were just out. |
got sheep wrote: I hope it is baby time, but wasn't this (the 18th) the last day the inlaws were here? Maybe they were just out.
I think you're right, but I bet Baby J wanted to meet his grandparents before they left. Does Mr. J know how to let us know what's happening? Does he realize how important this is to US? Gosh...you'd think we be the first to know!!! I bet Mrs. J is sweatin' it out in labor thinking "Hmmm...wish I had my computer so I could let everyone know whats going on!" |
As much pain as she was in, I doubt she was out partying with the in-laws. I'm with Ali, she went from the appointment to the hospital. Let's hope to be induced and not for more serious concerns. Induced, C-section, whatever, it was time for the wee one to appear. Would be nice if the in-laws could stick around until baby is born, if only to take care of Little J and the puppers. |
Still no news???? This waiting is killing us huh! |
Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh WHERE IS SHE???!!!
I'm pacing too |
she HAS to having that baby. |
Ok, ok...she has never been this quiet in her life! She got to be having the baby! |
I agree the baby must be coming!!! |
OOOHHH the suspense!!! |
Ok...enough. It's really along time now....we need to hear something!!! |
