Bear(Garfunkel) is settling nicely! Randy tought him how to jump on the furniture, beg at the table and a host of other bad habits. We are still working on bathroom issues and I can't let them both outside at the same time because all they do is run and play and forget to go potty. Bear continues to hump Simon and that has caused some arguments between the two and we are working on that. From here on out Bear's name will be Garfunkel, he doesn't always remember his name is/was Bear so the change is easy. One of the hardest and most heartbreaking parts is he doesn't seem to know what "GOOD BOY!" means. He is also an attention hog, pushes Simon out of the way, follows me everywhere, and I mean every where even checks the shower while I'm in it to make sure I'm still there. Randy caught on video and we will have pictures soon, of the boys running after each other in the yard and crashed into the big tree. They were not hurt but they should have been! I wish I was more computer savvy. I would have the pictures up in a flash. Oh well...live and learn(I hope). |

Good news about Garfunkel. 
Leave it to the husbands to spoil them. Todd even does/did obedience training, and he STILL horribly spoils them - feeding from the table, all that.
I have some that would rather play than potty too. When I am in a hurry it is faster to let them out in appropriate pairs, rather than all together or with the players together.
Our Maggie (bluetick) didn't know how to play, any praise reaction or what a toy is. Now she sure does. This weekend was her 1 year anniversary with us!! She is turning out to be quite the fun dog. I know Garfunkel will do so well at your house. |
So glad to hear he is settling in, getting comfy on the couch...etc.
Rags is still an attention hog and will push Pepsi out of the way.
