I am Preggers and I have been so freakin ill. Morning sickness sucks. I have had it all day everyday for the last 10 weeks. It’s the hangover that never goes away!!! I am 16 weeks now. Due June 14th. Bunker is going to have a brother or sister this summer. |
|
Congratulations to you and Bunker! |
Congrats! I am sorry to hear about your morning sickness though... |
WA!!!! Congratulations! No worries about the cards, can't wait to see it! |
Congratulations! Morning (all day) sickness can be a real bummer. Hopefully you will feel better soon so you can enjoy your pregnancy. |
Well, that's quite an excuse! Sure beats "the dog ate my homework." Congratulations! Hope the "hangover" ends soon and you have a peaceful pregnancy. |
Congrats Chelsea! I hope the "morning" sickness ends soon! |
Congrats! What a cute little pregnant person you'll be!! |
WOO HOO!!!!!! yee haw!!!!
I seem to recall somewhere in the back recesses of my brain that very strong morning sickness is a great sign of a healthy baby? Can anyone help me on this? |
^^
I've never heard anything like that except extreme ...note extreme... has been linked to a high number of girls. But if it is an indication of a healthy baby, that would be great Anyway, congrats!!!!!!!!!! We'll be seeing lots of baby pics on the board which is so exciting. Can't wait to see the card. |
Congratulations!!!!! I know the feeling and Chritmas cards were hard to muster the energy for. |
I heard that too Ron.
I am positive it's a girl, only a girl would make her Mother this sick. |

I seem to recall somewhere in the back recesses of my brain that very strong morning sickness is a great sign of a healthy baby? Can anyone help me on this? Lots of old wives tales about that one. There is also the "claim" that boys cause more morning sickness than girls. Who knows if it's true!! CONGRATULATIONS!! And I bet that is the BEST excuse we've had for late cards (but perfectly acceptable!!!) |
Pregnancy is no excuse. I'd better get my card-- and soon or I'll be forced to do, well, something. |
Congratulations on your pregnancy My oldest daughter was born on June 14!! that is also Flag Day. Wonderful news,

I was soooo sick 24/7 for 3 solid months when pregnant!! I threw up all day long, from the minute I woke up until bedtime. I even would have to pull over and puke in the ditch when driving. . AND, it was my pregnancy with my girl twins!! Good luck with it all, and we will be happy to get cards in January. |
Congratulations Chelsea |

Yeah, it's the only one us Jan mommies could find that had some actual data/research on [to be true]. It's been awhile but I believe it was done in europe and these women were severely ill. I always THOUGHT I was super ill, but I get down whenever I can't be running at a 100 mph [errands, etc]. |
Congratulations on the pregnancy. Edmonton seems to experiencing a real baby boom this past year. I just hope when I have the twins I can at least get a semi-private room.
Summer will be a nice time to have the baby, I hope you feel better soon. If the vitamins make you sick, get a prescription for Pre-Vit, it's a vitamin that you take in 2 doses, they separate the iron from calcium...it helped me alot...when I got past the worst I could stomach a reg vitamin again. |
Congratulations!
I am sure it's not much consolation, but morning sickness is actually a good sign that your body is making the right hormones to support the pregnancy. I don' know much about morning sickness: I had about 30 seconds of it in my second pregnancy (my second son) and that was it for all 4 kids: 3 boys and a girl. I was sure my first would be a girl, mostly because my husband so wanted a boy, and my father, with 4 daughters, had always wanted a boy. It had to be a girl, right? My husband was sure it would be a son. My son (breech position) was delivered by c-section to a very shocked mommy. My husband's first words to his wife: "I told you so." You'll love whichever one you have. I adored my boys and swore I didn't care if I had a girl, but now, I'm awfully glad I did, even when we were raging through our hormones simultaneously (guys in the house just stayed in their rooms. Quietly). |

Ooops I meant Preg-Vit. |
When I was having my morning sickness, my doctor told me to stop taking my prenatals for a little while. He said that the first 10 weeks or so it was really important for the baby, but after that the vitamins are more for the mom's benefit, so you might try that and see if it helps. I'm actually taking Flintstone's chewable vitamins now. I tried ALL the prenatals ever made in the world and they always upset my stomach (and I have stomach of steel).
I'm sorry you've been so sick! I wasn't very sick and not for very long, but I got enough of a taste to feel so bad for you! Have you tried any of the prescription anti morning sickness drugs? Are you showing much yet? Oh, and I hate when people say that morning sickness is a sign of a healthy pregnancy. Plenty of people have perfectly normal and healthy pregnancies without any morning sickness at all. They say 70% of women experience morning sickness in some form, which leaves 30% who don't. I didn't get any sickness until I was 10 weeks, so this 'morning sickness is a good sign' did nothing but freak me out. |
I have recommended Flintstone vitamins to quite a few pregnant woman who couldn't tolerate prenatal vitamins. |
Chelsea, CONGRATULATIONS! I am so happy for you! |
