I can't do this because of my lupus, but my question is, would this be harmful for Chauncey? Alot of people do participate with their dogs, but their not my baby. I'll still make a nice donation and be there with a towel for Bob, but does anyone have experience with this as far as sheepies . BTW: they do have a vet on site. |

Will Patrick the fireman be there to rescue sheepdogs?
A brief encounter should be fine especially if you can get him dry and warm quickly and not let his paws get stuck on the ice? Will he enjoy it? Probably not and for that reason wouldn't encourage it. If he was a Newf or some such bred for cold water then maybe I wouldn't worry as much. Take him along. If he gets excited and wants to participate or at least just bark at the crazy humans, that's fine. s. |
I would be inclined to say: Keep him warm and dry! This is a sport fit only for humans! |
I think we'll record the event all dry & warm. Dad can take the dunk. |
Oh boy, I would need to keep Chewie very far from an event like that!! |
Chauncey & I plan to take pic's but if you've checked our photo's you know I have no idea how to post them. Willow was kind enough to post those....but I'm going to give it another try though........Kathy |
