I left my camera at my mom's so pictures will come later but this groomer actally gets the sheepdog. I had been trying several groomer until I found one that understood sheepdogs. This new groomer also showed me a few tricks (was a fromer dog handler !) to get Miley's hair to look nice. Here is the super bonus - the price was less than the last couple I tried. I would also like to thank all that post here as I was complemented on what a good job I was doing with her coat. I don't that would be the case without all of you that have helped me learn. I still can't trim butts - but little by little I am getting there. Thanks for letting me share my excitement. |

I am so jealous...I haven't taken Heart to a groomer yet for that very reason...I don't want her to come back...??? not a sheepdog.....So I brush and brush and wash and dry and wash and brush and dry...etc...Almost every week she needs a bath ..very rainy here and she loves to get muddy.. ..It would be worth it to move... |
That is good news for you. Maybe you should ask her if she has friends who live elsewhere that know how to groom an OES??
Chewie went to a groomer friend once - to get his puppy coat trimmed off. Otherwise I do it myself. I would be afraid they would cut some hair. |
I did not realize how lucky we were with our groomer. But then my wife found her when she got Sydney, her first OES. I came along later. But there is at least one good groomer in Denver. |
