Monday of this week I emailed them asking about my order. No response, but I gave them a couple days because the site says they answer emails within 24 - 48 hours. So Wednesday I emailed again. No response. I emailed again today, but it is too late. I leave to visit the family that were the intended recipients of the collars today. So now on top of the expense of the collars and the shipping....I will have to pay again to have them shipped to my family. Am I being unreasonably upset? This is just making me very grumpy Thanks for the vent. |

Oh, of course you're being reasonable. I HATE when companies do that crap and send you no email/notice about something being backordered.
I recently purchased something expecting to have it before my husband got home, and a month later... still nothing. Every time they wrote, they flat out LIED about already sending it off. Asked if I wanted to cancel my order. I wrote back and said yes, and after 4 days.... got an email saying they shipped it out. I WAS FURIOUS. I emailed saying I wanted to CANCEL MY DANG ORDER not for you to send it out ...............which I then waited another 2 weeks for (not exaggerating). Sorry your gifts didn't arrive. At least it's a good excuse and not your fault for having the gifts |
It's VERY ANNOYING isn't it!!!!
I love internet shopping and it USUALLY works out but on the rare occasion it doesn't it's ALWAYS something important. Two weeks ago I ordered a pair of slippers for Doug for Christmas from Brookstone, the package arrived last night. I almost stuck it in the closet without opeinging it but decided something didn't "feel" right about it so I opened it. Instead of fleece lined suede slippers (temperpedic) it was a green plastic adirondack chair cover I called them and they were very nice about it, they are SUPPOSED to be overnight shipping the slippers. But I'll be holding my breath til they arrive. |
ginny, maybe you should give him the cover for his non existant chair anyway....kinda make up for the stock pot |
I think there are laws that govern order fulfillment nowadays. |

WHAT A PLAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But, I think he's doing better this year, I "accidently" (HONEST) found a bag with a pretty soft pink bathrobe in it. THere was other stuff but I was VERY GOOD and as soon as I realized what it was I sahoved it back in the closet. |

You ARE good!! I'd have had everything out and tried on before he got home. Amanda - I think I'd just tell them to cancel the dang order at this point in time and buy something somewhere else. What a royal pain in the butt, though. I just HATE IT when things don't arrive on time. I was getting pretty nervous myself when a gift I ordered TWO MONTHS AGO for my dad hadn't shown up last Friday. It finally came on Monday, after I called and reminded them of their PROMISE to deliver by the 15th. |
I would definitely cancel tyh eorder I did that recently with an order for doggles from one company that kept saying they were out of stock (they were in stock when Iordered them) I got them within three days frm the second company. Not much help to you now I know. |
I had a good experience - sort of!
I ordered Chewie some dog boots online from the company we have mentioned (Kondos Outdoors) in previous posts. My local store quit carrying the fleece ones I wanted. They came yesterday - just 3 days later! But I opened the package and they were the shorter ones, not the tall ones I ordered. And there were 4 boots, not 5! (I ordered one extra, thinking one will get lost for sure). They were the XL size I wanted though. I called them right away yesterday, they checked my order and admitted they had sent the wrong ones. They told me to go ahead and keep the 4 short ones and they would be sending out the 5 tall ones I ordered today. They are a Ely, MN company - maybe it is the Minnesota-nice at work. |

LOL - I figured you (among others here ) would see the humor in that one!! |
Well, I am back at work today (where the collars were supposed to be delivered) and nothing is here
I have emailed them several times and yet to get a response. There is no phone number on their website. I am having my sister double check to see if her credit card was charged, but since I recieved the order confirmation email I assume it was. Then I guess she will have to call the credit card company and challenge the charge |
