So remind me... (feeding rice/chicken - amounts)

If Yuki gets 4 cups of food a day, is that how much I should give her if I gave her some rice/boiled chicken/veggies?

I want to do something special for her on Christmas, and I thought this may be a good idea since she's allergic to EVERYTHING? Or should I only try to treat her with one meal instead of both for the day?

I wouldn't totally replace her regular food at the feedings. Maybe remove a cup or so of the dog food, and add in the other stuff in a similar amount. The amount to add of the "real" food would depend on her stomach and how she tolerates a big dietary switch like that.

For ours I usually remove a little of the dry, and liberally top dress the dog food with yummies that they do OK with. Then we are all happy! :D
Since she has issues, maybe the best present you could give her is to not change her diet for Christmas.

Sneak a treat of bland boiled chicken or her favorite usual dog treats and she'll be much happier than a complete change. As an added benefit, you'll reduce the probablility of an upset tummy too!

Just my quarter's worth.
Actually, just hand feeding her treats and a little extra of her regular kibble might make it special for both of you!
