I have looked high and low for the darn thing and can't put my fingers on it. It was hand written on the back of a napkin from a co-worker years ago. Don't know how I could have misplaced that Anyone out there have a similar recipe? I have Googled and searched Foodnetwork with no luck. Thanks in advance! |

I don't know exactly what you are looking for, but allrecipes.com is my favorite website for recipes. Here's one I found on there that calls for cream cheese. Also, you can do ingredient searches and all kinds of fun stuff!!

I've used that recipe, they make pretty snowflake shapes. If I remember correctly you need to chill the dough for several hours, certainly more than 30 minutes. |
Sorry Lori, Ihave been off-line for quite awhile. My computer crashed; I ended up buying a new CPU! Best part is getting back to the forum.
Here is a recipe I love to make especially at Christmas. Cream Cheese Dainties aka Christmas Jewels (depends on the time of year) 1/2 cup margarine, softened 1/2 cup sugar 1 3 ounce package cream cheese 1/4 tsp. almond extract 1 cup flour, sifted 2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1 1/2 cups rice krispies, coarsely crushed (optional) Candied cherries, halved Cream margarine, sugar, cream cheese, and almond extract till light. Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt just till combined. Chill 2 hours. Shape into balls, roll in cereal, and place on ungreased baking sheet. Top with cherry. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes. Note: I have made these with and without rolling them in the cereal crumbs, depends on the look I am going for, but they are equally as good either way. Yummy! |
