| I'm almost an "old" quitter but you know that I would love to smoke again! But I won't because if I ever bought a pack, I would be a full-time smoker again.
I wish I could transfer my positive feelings about not smoking to my eating. |
I'm going for it AGAIN!!!! I'm quitting at the start of the new year!!! I've quit before for a entire year.  And I just wanted a puff.... it was ON!!! I went right back to full time smoking. I'm an awful ex-smoker I can't tolerate smoke at all. It stinks so bad. I can't smell my own stink when I smoke. But I'm really gonna do it this time. I'm tired of smoking and coughing and stinking and buying smokes. I'm planning on using the patch, mostly because I love the freaky vivid dreams I get while using the patch. Keep up the good work all you quitters!!!! |

My son when he was just starting school had to memorize our address it was: 1209 Car-o-line. We sang it lots!! I will use your cheer if you don't mind Ron?... As an inside my head sort of cheer when times are rough. Thanks for the support everyone!! Your success is proof enough that I CAN do it too!!!! |

I love the cheer for Wendy, too. My son had a cheer when he was a senior in high school - it was his name too. It was sung to the mickey mouse song, but substituted with Travis's name. Instead of M-I-C, K-E-Y, M-O-U-S-E, it was T-R-A, V-I-S, F-I-N-C-H. For a joke, I wrote it out that way on a sign for his graduation party (up at the corner of our road). I got so many comments from his friends - they said they sang it all the way to our house! |
| Way to go all your quitters!!!!!!!!!! Wendy you can do it, this has just been a temporary slip. Examine the situation that caused you to pick up a cigarette this time and PLAN what you can do when faced with the same situation next time. When you "slip" it is not a failure, it is an opportunity to learn more about yourself so that you can be successful the next time.
I'm so proud of all of you who are quitting!!!!!!!!!! It really is a very difficult thing to do. My Doug will hit his one year mark next month and it is sooooooooooo wonderful not to smell those stinky cigarettes on him. I really knew he had quit FOR GOOD last week. One of the officers in our Fire Department is a VERY HEAVY smoker. She comes to the Fire Hall sits in her office and chain smokes for hours. Last week Doug took a day off work to go to the Fire house and install a vent fan in her office so that when she turns the light on the fan turns on and carries the smoke out of the building (it was seeping into our sleeping quarters). I have complained about it for YEARS but it isnow bothering him!! |

| well, its been about 4 or so months for me.....i have dreams that i cheat and when im really upset, i scream "i want a cigerette!"...but i havent!!
i miss smoking.....but then again, i miss my hair too.....its all about perspective  |
When my Dad stopped smoking, after about 50 yrs of doing so, said that he would have dreams of him smoking. Even after 20 yrs of not smoking.  |
