When, exactly is Festivus?

Because I need to prepare for The Feats of Strength and get my thoughts together for the Airing of the Grievances.

I have to say Paula, if you're only preparing now for the feats of strength, I think you're going to have a very poor showing this year.

I have already begun by annual airing of grievances but I really like to save the biggest airing for a large work gettogether. In my case, that's tomorrow. I'm looking oh so forward to it. I GOTTA LOTTA PROBLEMS WITH YOU PEOPLE!
Jill,
Aren't YOU the resident expert on Festivus??????????????

From Wikipedia:

Festivus is an annual holiday invented by Reader's Digest writer and editor Daniel O'Keefe.[1] It was introduced to popular culture by O'Keefe's son Daniel, a scriptwriter for the TV show Seinfeld, on December 18, 1997, in the episode "The Strike".[2] (Season 9, Episode 10) The holiday is celebrated each year on December 23, but many people celebrate it at other times, often to avoid the Christmas rush.[2] The holiday includes novel practices such as the "Airing of Grievances", in which each person tells everyone else all the ways they've disappointed him/her over the past year. Also, after the Festivus meal, the "Feats of Strength" are performed, involving wrestling the head of the household to the floor, the holiday only ending if the head of the household is actually pinned.
December 23rd I am celebrating Christmas with my family. They will all be at my house. I don't have my aluminum pole up yet........

This has potential.

You can actually have any pole and you can mildly decorate it if you like. George's dad found tinsel "distracting" but it's not against the rules. That's the beautiful part of Festivus. It is what you make it.
SEEEEE told you Jill was the expert
If you actually do celebrate this, PLEASE video it!! :D
Oooh... you're bad Tammy
Yes, please provide videos! :D

I'd never even heard "Festivus"... thanks for providing the official definition Ginny!
Paula, you can actually buy a Festivus pole at this website

http://www.festivuspoles.com/pages/Festivuspoles.htm

And since they are in Milwaukee, you should get it in plenty of time.
I like the "Festivus yes, bagel no" sign in the background.
Nobagelnobagelnobagel......
