They also have an appetite for remote controls.......I'm guessing our hand oils are all over the devices so they taste good......and are conventient sizes for chewing.
Some day all this will end and you'll have a calm, well mannered sheepie....once all this oral stuff is over. |
You can check E-bay for new antennaes and covers/faceplates. I have gotten several for my phones and they can be inexpensive, just watch what they are charging for shipping.
Luckily, Carl eats my faceplates only after I take them off the phone! |
hahaha lipstick i love it.... did he have it all over his face? |
Bunker is famous for eating remotes. Good thing I work for an electronics store because for a while there I was buying one every week.
I still have to hide them from her. |
the newest addition to our pile of chewed stuff is a few pine cones we bought for the centerpiece in the dining room. The smelled like cinnamon and I guess Lennon and Sofa tought it would be nice to give them a try... Their remote chewing phase it's over now and they prefer more expensive designer stuff. |
... her dog would only eat the things that she treasured most, e.g., remote control, wood carvings that her mother had created before her death, etc. She finally came to the realization that her dog was looking for attention. He had been left alone Monday through Friday for very long spans of time. She got him a dog walker and the chewing stopped. The irony is that she had to work overtime to pay for the dog walker. Ack! |
Hello everyone, my first post. Burcwen is our second oes. We've had her for 2 years now, she is 5.
Things she has eaten on Mondays when she is home alone all day: * 3 packages of incense sticks. Her breath was very fragrant. * My valentines card that my wife made for me with construction paper and sparkles. * Several essays * My daily To Do list, on more than one occassion, but always on days when I had "brush burcwen" on the list... * Padded shipping envelopes * a one pound bag of Hershey's kisses, wrappers included * A package of a half dozen muffins; and the box. * my credit card (after it had been cut up) * a plastic pop bottle, and the pop (soda) * the newspaper * several framed photographs, with the frames (she leaves the glass panel) I try to dog-proof the hosue every time before I go, but she is so antsy about being alone, she will always find something to eat! Amazingly, she has never suffered any ill health from any of these events. The only time she has ever been sick was when we were dog sitting and she got into the other dog's food and, for the first time in her life, had beef products instead of the turkey barley she has been raised on. What a dog! |
Welcome to the forum Burcwen!!
Your list made me laugh |
