OMG how scary!
So glad they were able to rescue her and that she was okay. I wonder if her owner will be keeping her on a leash from now on. |
How very frightening! At least Chewie could get out of our pond.
I think I saw the story listed on msn.com this morning, but didn't see what kind of dog. I was just glad to hear the dog was saved. |
Those look like stills from this somewhat raw video from weather.com:

Our community has a man made lake in the center. It hasn't been cold enough here to develop any ice on the surface other than a few spots near the shore.
Monday, two labs, one a puppy, wandered out on the thin ice and fell in. A landscape laborer jumped in, saved the pup, but wasn't able to save the older dog. |

Thanks! |
If you can't see the link that Ron posted, here's one from the Weather Channel.

I had heard about it but no details, sure am glad the dog was saved |
Oh my! I haven't heard about this but glad she was rescued and fine. Silly puppy! |
Yikes!! I'm so glad Lacey was okay, and hopefully has no lasting after-effects! I know how cold it can get in Dewitt. My son went to school in Syracuse, and to this day, it has to be REALLY, REALLY cold out for him to wear a coat. His excuse? "If I can live in Syracuse for 4 years, I can tolerate just about anything!" |

WOW, 20 minutes in freezing water - I bet she was an ice cube to the bone. I like the photo of her walking away with that sheepie butt - that butt reminds me of my Patch who has the greatest sheepdog butt! So glad Lacey is ok and with her family. |
OH MY! just reinforces that Laika stays on lease at home until my lake is completely frozen.
first one still makes me laugh! if she could yell yippee I think she would. I also thing all summer she wondered what that ball out in the water was and finally got up close http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=lN7Gupjvktg http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=9v3rAcmbGnk |
