This is just a reminder that unless a poster has given permission or already has their name in their signature... please do not post it. Some people don't mind at all esp. if they've met, but unless someone has revealed something themselves on the board, I find that information personal.. We have usernames for a reason, and while I know everyone here is a family... not everyone here considers those lurking on google family. This is why I do not post my name, my maltese's name, one of my cat's, etc...on here or in chat. There are people in my past that are great at searching and then stalking me. There are a few others who have posted the same concern in the past, and I'm only mentioning it because it has happened 2 times this week... 3 if I count the week before, and I've had to get someone to edit the posts. Thanks |

I think sometimes we all feel so comfortable and secure here that we forget that the internet is really a BIG UGLY world. Recently, just out of curiosity I started looking on the internet for what information was available about myself. I was amazed at what I found.
So thanks for the reminder!!!! There are many people who want/need their privacy protected. |
Thankyou, I must admit you do get lulled into a sense of false security! |
Use my name whenever you want. I only got creative with my forum name because someone else took Jill, otherwise, that's what it would be. |
Very good point. I tend to be extremely casual about my info, because the link to my website gives away my full name anyhow ....but I really understand how other folks can feel differently about it. Thanks for the reminder! |
I just saw your avatar...is that little J's daddy arriving home??? |
