I heard a huge THUMP, and all my birds started flapping around scared. So I look outside, nobody there. I look around the house, nothing amiss... then I realize Roofus is nowhere to be seen! Here's where I found him... and he's now sleeping there. Sigh. What a silly puppy!! |

Max gets in the shower when I get out, he licks it all over and loves it. When I say to him "time for a shower" he bolts off to the bathroom and stands next to the shower and waits for me to get in. Also when I was up north visiting family, at my sisters house, thats the first thing he did was get her bath, I think he felt safe there. The funniest was when my sister had my 1 year old nephew in the tub and max wanted to get in too!
What a cute picture!! |
What an adorable picture! Roofus is so cute just sitting in that bathtub! My cat Iris also loves the bathtub, and will wait for me to fill the tub for my morning bath, and then help herself to a nice warm morning drink!

that's so funny. he's keeping his studly good looks i see as he ages.
my cat does that. when she hears any water on, she runs to it. she even jumps in if someone is taking a bath. with no warning, she expects you to catch her. you'd think she'd wait to see how hot the water is... |
aww so cute!
walter also sleeps in the shower but HATES taking baths/showers. |
I was walking to one of the bedrooms and my 5 mo. old OES followed me, when I turned around he was gone. After about a minute I called him, no answer, I started to look around the whole house. I even got scared because he usually runs to me when I call him. I finally found him in the bath tub his head was the only thing sticking out from the side of the shower curtain!!! He just got fixed and can't have a bath for another week. I guess he misses it!!
I loved your picture. I tried to go get my camera, but he jumped right out when I started laughing. |
That's a cute picture... I wish mine loved baths as much as Roofus.. Mine hear water running and bolt in the opposite direction. |
So this past Summer Teddy decided that he wanted the tub to be his new bed. He was shy about it first. Would wait until we had gone to bed and the house had grown quiet before he snuck in to the bathroom. I heard a strange rustling but was too sleepy-eyed to investigate. Finally one night I got up and searched high and low for the big lug. Nowhere to be found. I called him and suddenly heard that now familiar rustling sound. He came to me with half his face wet. I had been wondering why half his face was getting discolored... After a few weeks he became quite blase about his new sleeping arrangement. One night, as we stood in the bathroom washing up and brushing our teeth before bed he walked right past us and in to the tub. As time went on we could easily pull back the shower curtain and peer in at him and he wouldn't move. Not his head or anything. Not even open his eyes. Well ... he would move his hind leg. Giving us easy access to his belly. |
!!! LOL !!!
Once again I thought only my Sheepie did this stuff! Yet another little known trait of the OES- sleeping in the tub! My first OES- Penelope- used to sleep in the shower, it was cool and quiet- she loved it. She spent three whole days in there after getting fixxed- she'd come out for food, water, outside, and like a little bullet of fur she would wizz back to the shower and harumph down. Chelsea does not sleep in the tub, but she likes it - you hear the 'badump' from the bathroom and she's in there walking around. Heh, Heh Up. |
