He always has so many people over (family, my folks, neighbor), so I decided to put a collar on my cat. I'm afraid my FI will leave the door open one day thinking it's okay to fetch the groceries and my little kitty will JET! She's never done this the weekends she's stayed there the past year, but I love her too much to see her lost and never returned. Anyways, so I put a collar on her with I.D. tag today. Poor thing is pissed off at me. Of course she will get over it, but she's acting like there's a snake around her neck. What's worse is, she likes to sneak behind the blinds so she can see at the window and while walking past the blinds, they catch onto her collar trapping her there and pulling her by the neck. I'm so paranoid. I DID get the kind that falls off automatically (if pulled a lot), but when she's sad - I'm sad. /end of rant |

a pic. she looks depressed in the pic, but i promise she's a happy cat who takes on every opportunity to "talk back" to me. lol

Awww, she is cute. I love the little sweater. I think mine would fall over and refuse to move if I put them in clothes. LOL
You made a good decision putting a collar on her. She will be a safe kitty now. Stormi and co. |
I put a collar on my sheepdog and it came off. You might want to consider microchip or tatooing. |
Thanks Stormi! I still want a Ragdoll some day though.
She is microchipped. I just think if someone found her, they MAY just keep her if there's no collar and know nothing about microchips. I will say my parents live in a very friendly neighborhood (assuming the cat didn't go out of the big neighborhood). It may have been smarter to find a collar that stays put, but where I'm at ....all the pet stores only sell the kind that slips off. I'm assuming it's so if they get caught in bushes or a tree, the collar slips off instead of killing them, which is a good idea. |
