Did anyone NOT have aggression problems with their dog?

I know there are some on this board, but I was just curious to see how many people would answer this.

I don't mean the normal teething stage any pup goes through or playful biting that never turned into anything but "safe play."

Again, a very nice poster from this board told me (off the board) that I only see so many threads about aggression (in a lot of cases) b/c some people come to this board only when they have problems. Still curious.

I really want one, and like many people who come to this board, have only had experiences with very well-behaved/super sweet/non-aggressive OES'. ....or from every profile on the internet, that this is one of the most compatible herding dogs when it came to getting along with all 3: kids, dogs, and non-canine animals.

i have zero aggression problems.

not food, water, toy, territory, dog, or cat aggressive! :) He even likes my birds (he thinks they are small sheepies? LOL), not that I ever have them out when he is loose. The week after I got him he was in puppy classes and after those ended he went into doggie daycare.

the only thing i worry about with him his dominance issues... his daddy is a very dominant dog, and with the size issue (not quite 5 months and already 50#), that's a concern.
that's great. I am the type who would train my dog as SOON as I got it and take him to the park as much as possible to be socialized (after he's had all his shots of course).

I'm wondering if outside of bad breeder and/or the dog's parents, if some of the problems people gradually form is from not being experienced owners when it comes to strong dogs. I'm sure a lot of it is the first not the second because a lot of people seem to complain after stating they have tried, x, y, and z.
None here either---I mean, he's only 15 weeks but still.....we took care of that from the beginning. Hands in food, take away food, hands near water, take away water, give toy, then take it back etc...
Albert is over all very well behaved. He was a bit aggresive as a puppy, but he is in obedience classes and does very well now. Every once in a while he gets really aggresive while we are playing, but this is probably due to my two older brothers rough- housing with him so much when they play. I told them over and over not to play like that with Albert like that or he might get aggressive, but they didn't listen. Brothers! Besides that though, he is very good.
I've had no aggression problems with my two dogs at all. Didn't have aggression problems with my first sheepie either.
I have had zero problems with aggression with my 2 sheepies and they are 15 and 18 months old. They love everyone and everything. They go to the dog park and socialize there and they can go to petsmart and dog parade's with no worries or problems. They are gentle with our children who are 4 and 7. The dogs take commands just fine from them both. They can even walk them on a leash inside the home, it is just when outside that they can't walk them. They are gentle with our older cats and kittens. Our neighbor children can play amongst them and my only fear would be if a child were to be bumped to hard and get frightened of them.
I made sure the breeders I went through were socialized in the home with children and cats though. That was very important to me and I believe it made a big difference in temperaments. I can also say that both Jack and Annabelle's temperaments seem to resemble their own parents.
Stormi and co.
I, too, have had no aggression problems with Max. He has only snapped to bit someone once or twice, and that was my nephew because he was sitting on him. so no more of that :) He didn't get him which was good, just snapped in the air. Max is very laid back and he doesn't mind if I pull his food away while he is eating, etc. He really only gets excited when I come home from work :)
I've haven't had any agression problems with Baxter who is 2 1/2 years old. Cassiopia, now 15 months, has a few dominance issues which we are working on with obedience training - however does not have any agression problems.

I think that the previous poster is correct. People come to this board when they have problems and are looking for advise. There are probably a lot of lurkers who read the messages but don't have any reason to post.
You guys are right. So far, I haven't seen any posts with the subject "Help, my sheepie is so well behaved!! I Can't take it any more"

Lennon is territorial inside the house with his bed but I haven't seen any actions of real aggression... He's very respectful of our space and he expects the same from us. Outside he has had no problem with children or other dogs.
no agreesion issues here at 10 months. Only issue is he loves other dogs and people too much sometimes. Just wants to play with everyone, even the small dogs and forgets (or doesn't even know) how big he is.

Help, my puppy is too friendly and too excited!
no agression here either.
only problem with mitch is that at 2 years old he is still too friendly with people he doesn't know .
he loves all dogs big and small .
he has a 4 month old yorkshire terrier as a friend and he gets down on his knees to play with her which looks so cute
The only problem I have had with Puddy is food protective, not with me, with the other dogs in the house. He is actually quite submissive with the other two, but if pushed will stand his ground for a while then give. He is absolutely wonderful with my two year old grandson, but loves to jump up on my two grown boys (three if you count the hubby :D  ).
wow, I did let these aggression threads (usually 1 on every page) get in my head, but now my FI is going to be telling me "told you so..." now that those w/good dogs are coming out.
Well, Mop has no agression issues per say anymore! She can be a bit dominant...and jelous if the cats get attention. Never any food agression. Again, she did growl at the cats if they came to her bowl when she was eating, but that has been rare. As some others said, when she plays and gets too excited, she will jump and bite kinda thing, but listens when I say "no, off" now. So, not too bad, and overall she is a good dog. Training is hard work and a lot of repetition. Mop is more work then some other dogs i hear about here as far as the above, but hey, no one is perfect... and she will be a very well behaved pup when we are done training. So happy campers here! lOL
I have an Oes and he was aggressive with several people. I brought him to obedience school and it did help. But, he has bitten several people. One I know for sure deserved it but the others, yes with an "s", didn't deserve it.
