It was part two of a 2-part episode and I don't know why the cute guy shot Penelope or if she makes it.

| Penelope makes it.
Turns out that she volunteers counseling families of victims of crimes (or something like that). To make sure that their cases don't fall between the cracks she flags them as important by the FBI...something she isn't supposed to do. The guy that shot her is a cop. He is actually a opposite angel of death sort of person. He shoots people so he can be the first on the scene and be the "hero." Unfortunatley he thinks Garcia is onto him because she has flagged a couple of his cases. He goes to the BAU office to get his files removed right around when they figure out it is him. He takes a senior officer hostage, but JJ shoots and kills him. |
Ooh. She was temporarily suspended and they had another computer tech in checking out her system. They meet in the end and are supposed to be possible love interests.  |
