My Sweet English Rose...
This morning my dear sweet Rosie left this world in my arms. What a true English Rose you were in our lives we will forever be grateful for. I remember the search for you and waiting two years for you to come into our lives. I remember the drive to the airline cargo to retrieve our long awaited bundle of love from England on Valentines day 1995. You were such a love then as you were this morning. You came home to a waiting loving family and to Nick the Borzoi. You were his baby girl........ now the two of you and Mryddin are all together again. My first Champion.... how proud we were of you, even when we were asked what American dogs were not good enough? Yes WE were. And there were those that saw how wonderful you were too and loved you as we did. That took you into their home to help us get you into coat. True you were not the same as your American Cousins but that didn't stop you from becoming a Champion. You gave us beautiful babies and they made you proud as well. Your first born went on to show at Westminster and in Switzerland at the Euro, in Mexico for his title as well. And your legacy lives on through him...... Sleep tight and run free my dear Briar Rose........ |

| What a sweet old gal Rosie was!! I remember when I went to your house for the first time...I think she was one of the first to greet me. She was certainly a special soul and lived a long, wonderful life. She was no dout a wonderful grandma to Carmella too.
