The Frontline should kill whatever is in the house too. I agree YUKK!!!! They give me the creeps so bad. I had my first experience with ticks after a long day at the dog park. A few days later these huge (grape size) silvery balls were on the floor. My husband had to tell me what it was. GROSS GROSS!! I itched all night just thinking about them!! We've had a mild autumn here too. |
Maybe you should apply some Frontline to yourself. |

GROSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
I've got some flea and tick shampoo YOU might want to use |
Thank goodness we don't have them here. I hate ticks!!
My Toy Poodle, Scooter got out once... a friend was petsitting and didn't let me know he was missing. Someone found him and called me. When I picked him up he was covered in ticks. He must have had at least 25 of them on his tiny little 8lb body. They were all HUGE. I was so happy when they were gone. After that and because of the fleas we had in NJ I used to give him garlic on his food. No more ticks or fleas the natural way. I don't think they had frontline then. |
i can't believe it i found 2 on derby he is on sentinal!! yuck now he is itching himself raw!!!! i give up |
Hi Darcy, I use Fronline because I show my dogs but another useful tip is put garlic through their dinner at least twice a week. Hugs from all at Tikki-ti-boo |
My grandma had a dog out in the country, ticks were really bad. this might be an old wives tale but she swore by adding just a little vinegar to his water.
Again I have no idea if there is any medical benefit or drawback to doing this. She told us that it stopped ticks from latching on. (maybe they did not like the taste?) |
