Murphy will not let us pay attention to the other dogs - he will chase them if they come close to us and will sit on them. My ten pound Shih Tzu does manage to get away and the 2- pound Sheltie lets him know it is not ok,. but they are spending most of their time under the kitchen table. Murphy gets the freedom of the house and us. We do give the others attention when Murphy goes to bed or other times we take the other two in the bedroom and give them love. |
Oh my I had forgotten all about that trick. When China was little Violet used to do the same thing to her...sit on her and almost crush her. Of course I put a stop to that right away, but haven't thought about that for years. Sneaky sheepies. |
My sheepies have never done the head sit thing....too funny
My old sheepie Jake used to do something similar. We had a suburban truck with 4 captains chairs and a bench in the back. My sister and I always sat on the 2 middle chairs, and the old Izzy would sleep on the bench in the back. Jake always wanted a captains chair to himself so he would start off leaning on the the chair next to me. Then he would slooooowly inch his way onto the chair and next thing I knew I was smooshed next to the door and practically falling off the seat. He was comfortably sitting on the chair happy as a clam |
Fourth of July there were fireworks and Rags got scared. Pepsi was cuddled up with me on the couch. Rags came over and sat on him to get close to me. Poor Pepsi eventually got up, but I had to move Rags first. Pepsi was trapped. |
