We're getting pounded with what looks looks like a foot of snow. Not sure how much exactly but definitely more than the 6.5 we got the other day. J's "do you've got autism" appt is tomorrow that took FOREVER to get, and now I'm all stressed. I hope I can get out tomorrow! My car is just hanging out diagonally in the driveway lol |
|
I spoke too soon. Nevermind.......
The girls I babysat during the school year saw me get stuck and fall through their window and were out shoveling my driveway when I went to let Yuki out!!! My car is in the garage, snow is starting to settle down, my driveway is clear, and I didn't have to break my back shoveling! I should take a pic of all the snow we just got. |
OMG, I know....its unreal! I went down to the studio (right on my own property) at about noon, and our (freshly plowed) driveway was clear, as were the stairs etc....Just now, I came out to take a break, and the driveway and stairs were impassable! I had to shovel my way between the studio and the house. Yowza! I think Scott will probably have to park on the road. *Sigh*....Our plow guy is probably rubbing his hands together and laughing!
Hurrah for your neighbor kids Mrs. J!!!!! |
Wow - how fun for you guys. I personally am not ready for real winter - I need to get my butt in gear!! And Todd has stuff laying around outside - more than me actually. At least I can shut my garage door........ |
It was a bit of a surprise to me. I went into the hospital at 4:00 nothing, came out at 5:00 four inches. It was white out when I left Monti's room, but it was not snowing any more when I got to the parking lot. It was a twenty minute drive for three miles. It is an ok drive, no hills on that route. |
Wow J, piccys please, from Sunny Dry, Hot Australia.
We need a really cool photo. |
I am SO not ready for winter this year.
I am getting soooo depressed. |
Cold weather = comfort food <licks lips> |

I am getting soooo depressed. YOU are depressed??? Hey now, there are good things about winter...um....clean dogs, frozen poo (easier to pick up), snow days when you cant get out of the driveway are great for for catching up on reading, hmmmm....I know there are others |

I have no idea what that means, but it sort of rhymed and sounded funny. |
ravenmoonart wrote: YOU are depressed??? I didn't know I wasn't allowed.
I am feeling very low. |
That's not good Ron.
You're supposed to look forward to the holiday season. Thanksgiving is next week Ron......is Joan making some of your favorite dishes? i just got the Christmas Harry&David catalog. Gained some weight from looking at it and felt it wasn't enough, so went in the kitchen and baked cookies and granola bars. Then you can look forward to all the cards you'll be receiving. That's at least a few minutes of happiness every day!! Don't get down...makes me sad to hear that! |
Ron wrote: ravenmoonart wrote: YOU are depressed??? I didn't know I wasn't allowed.I am feeling very low. Nope...not allowed Not unless your already digging out! Cheer up Ron |
Mrs J please be careful in the snow. After reading your posting I thanked God I live in Florida. I do not miss the snow whatsoever. |
We had a dusting of snow this weekend, more expected any day.
Ron, yes you can be low (especially this time of year) I'm not a big fan of the Holidays (as you all may well remember). Maybe we could could go to the Bahamas and stay from Thanksgiving til Jan 2!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Don't get down...makes me sad to hear that! Me too. We'll do our part to cheer you up. |
Yeah, cheer up Ron!! You being sad makes ME sad...
AS for winter...BRING IT ON!! I hope it is a cold and snowy winter here! (I can say that because we get maybe one or two days of light snow per year)...and it shuts down the city! Oh, and I don't know HOW I'm gonna be able to cook T-day dinner...just the thought of it makes me nauseous... |
Send the snow here!!! We used to get snow when I first moved out here 18 yrs ago...but we haven't even had rain for sooo long. I don't know why they don't seed the clouds in Calif. That would be if we ever get those too. |

I don't even think we got snow at all in the local mountains last year. I loved being able to see it and not have to feel the cold that comes along with it. Okay, I think the top of the tram area got snow once last year and it melted almost immediately. Oh yeah.... and what are clouds? All I know is Blue Skies. I do vaguely remember something about white puffy things, but it's been so long. |
Ohhhh, I hope it stay there, I am not ready, now my son wants it to snow.... has a new snow board and ready to go. |
OH ICK!!! PLEASE PLEASE keep it up north!! I am so not into snow again this year. I woke up to a dusting this morning but i flat don't want it.
Ron i'm with you. Especially since i just came back from San Miguel. I thought 45 was cold.......... im freezing here. |
We are getting pounded with HEAT. Oooooh no, hot hot hot. Into the 30's celsius today, where is the darn sunscreen. Lily white legs are on exhibition today.
Going to be a hot few days with next wednesday peeking at around 36 C. I wanna play in snow. |
well, i see you didn't keep it up there !! HARRUMPH.................
We are supposed to be up in 70's and then BAMM just in time for the Thanksgiving (where has November gone?) travel we are supposed to get a whopper of a storm!! Gee Thanks guys....................... |
We are just entering winter, it's about -4 here and I HATE IT!! I HATE IT!! I HAAAAAATE IT!!!!
Being cold makes me feel so miserable I need to hibernate. Greg hardly notices. The car was covered in frost before we drove home last night- that is definately my cue to stay in bed! I've been wearing 2 pairs of trousers around the house already. Im even having trouble getting Rufus to go toilet outside, I think he hates the cold too. He makes me go outside with him I'm cooking a roast chicken tonight to cheer myself up. |
i think it was about 84 here today...just lovely |
yeah a gorgeous day here too............... upper 70's. Farmers are all burning the dtches or i would have had windows open......
they are saying this is gonna be a duzzy of a storm coming next week they say.......... and i WAS going to get tickets to the monday night Bronco game, but i'm not a martyr for sitting in freezing snow stadium............ did that the infamous snowball game with Chicago years ago........ once was enough. |
All I can say is "Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day!" We're drowning! |
I'm sitting here in a sleeveless t-shirt........and sweat pants. Has been an absoultely lovely fall, parts of town still haven't had their frost where my area had one 6 weeks ago. So areas still have lovely fall foliage and late flowering shrubs and I'm kicking leaves around the yard. It's screwy hence my strange clothing tonight.
Long range is for warm and dry here this winter.........terrible for skiers and water, but great for our heating bills. JO, God bless your neighbor girls!! |
We hit a cold spell here for a couple of days...65F Friday, 72 Saturday, back to 80F today! woo hoo! |
We just hit 37c today WOW, hot. Also turned on the Air Con for the first time, thank goodness for Air Conditioning in the house
Bad luck for the up and coming power bills over summer |
Snow, whats that?????? High 83 today... |
BLECH! Too hot for me.
It snowed all day today but it wasn't much accumulation. |
Joahaeyo wrote: BLECH! Too hot for me.
It snowed all day today but it wasn't much accumulation. Humph! maybe not down where you are, but WE need our darned driveway plowed...AGAIN!!! |
I know!!! I spoke too soon.
Oh jeez........ shoveling sucks. |
Hands.So.Numb. Shoveled a crapload this morning. Never saw it stop last night. Once the shoveling is done, it's easier to say how pretty it is outside. |
We usually have snow in mid to late September, it is SO strange to have no snow and it's already getting into late November....
It's cold enough for it the last few days... but no snow.... |
^^^
We sure miss a certain someone posting every day. <whistles> |
Bahama's sound like a good idea to me. |
Now we dont get too much snow in the UK but there was a couple of inches in parts of the Midlands and Wales on Sunday night. Didnt last long though ! Early for here it seems. |
