Stacy, he was really starting to get it at the end. He was learning that he had the power to make the sheep move. I could just see his little lightbulb go off! And your hubby did a great job getting him going. |
Fozzie is adorable. The video where very enjoyable. Thank you for sharing. |
I loved the last video....It CLICKED!!!! He was one with the sheep!!!!! |
Oh Stacy, I think he did great. Thanks for sharing - it was fun to watch. |
Stacy, don't you or Steve or Fozzie give up! I can tell Foz is getting the idea. Remember it's the journey, not the destination. A deeper bond will be forged via the training and it will give Foz a job. |
I agree!! He did great for a first time, and you can tell he was "getting the picture!!" What potential. The videos were fun to watch |
Oh that was so fun to watch
Yep I see that Thanks for sharing Wonder if Beebles could pawsibly move some sheep Diane |
You definately could see he was getting the whole idea. You were right about the first video being funny.....are you a weinie?...do you want musturd and a bun? I loved that. I always ask...what's your dill pickle? |

Thanks for the pep talk, Paula. We knew that going in this would probably be a one time shot. The distance we had to travel to go find some sheep was a little too far for us. Being that we were the #22 dog to get into the ring, my body just doesn't handle standing out in that cold and wind very well..or sitting in the car. Oh well, it sure was fun to see what Foz would do! I'm starting one on one training with Foz next weekend. Time to buildup my confidence and strength so I can walk this boy. |
FUN videos! You could definitely see improvement. Good for you guys - you're going to love these moments for the rest of your lives! |
You went to Shannon's and had him herding instinct tested! Good for you! That was really fun to watch. Just as I started thinking, look how nicely he keeps the sheep together, wham! prey drive kicks in Herding isn't my strong suite, but I swear you could see glimpses of a natural sense of balance. It's too bad you aren't closer because I have a feeling he would grow to really enjoy it.

Fozzie has had diarrhea since Sunday morning (we herded on Saturday). Maybe the sheep scared the poop out of him! He is on medicine and ID food. Poor guy has looked so sad and tired since the weekend. I hope he's feeling better soon. He's got a nervous tummy just like his Mommy. |
i only watched the first one...and weenie fozzie resembles weenie panda....what a sweet scardy boy....i love that...ill watch the rest tomorrow! |
Stacy I loved your videos!!! (Still waiting for Lumpi's - HINT)
I can't wait to see Boni herd...I hope it will kick in fast! |
Just saw this one today. Great!!! Fozzie really started to get the whole herding thing! Thank goodness for Dads like Steve who go in and give their little buddies encouragement.

Poor Fozzie seemed so scared in the first video.
But confident once he was with Daddy. Then got a bit cocky at the end. Poor Steve, all that running made me tired, just watching. |
