Good Groomers are indeed hard to find. I took Mony to a groomer and she came back with Kennel Cough. This time we had a company called the Gallopping Groomer (comes to your house) do both Mony and Laci. No Kennel Cough this time and she did a great job. |
I have had the same groomer for 18 years...and 3 consecutive OES. They have never even charged me more than $50.00...and that was for a total Summer shave down.
I hope they always stay in business...I would be lost without them. |
I recommend that peeps only go to a groomer that is recommended!!
I have had a nightmare weekend.... We took our little dusty to get her first groom on the weekend (just a tidy around her eyes and bottom)... I said to the groomer only to trim around her eyes so that she could see a little better and around her bottom to keep it clean! She told me to pick her up in 2 hours..when I got back to the shop, she had made such a mess...by little OES now looks like a poodle I just wanted to cry, never trust the yellow pages x |
The groomer I use out in Colorado does a great job. I tell her she is to shave his belly (small portion) just so it doesn't get nasty from urine and trim around his bottom. Trim the hair on the pads of his feet and clip the nails. Other than that she is not to cut any other hair period. The hair in the eyes goes into a top knot. So she does just that with a brush and bath. It is great. I pretty much asked her if she knew what an OES looked like that was a show dog. She said yes, I said that is what I want. Just hope this lady can do the same. She said it would be $45 which is what I pay in Colorado.
So if anyone in Colorado is looking for a groomer I can recommend a good one. |
