Boy do I have a watchdog, Dutch is sleeping right beside me and I turned the speakers up to see what she would do SHE DIDN'T EVEN OPEN HER EYES |
Very impressive Ron and Mulligan!
Jean, none of my dogs reacted to Mulligans barks either. But they were busy hoping someone would drop some pizza on the floor for them. |
Wow Mulligan the wonder dog, Hey what is it like living with a genius ?
Ha ha ha to be outdone by a woofer. So who teaches who? is the question |
Very good Mulligan!
I do have good watchdogs - even made Simon the basset's ears pop up! (and he was asleep in the living room on the couch) |
My face was about 3 inches from his so we'd be in front of the mic together. I like that when I gave him the first command he looked at me and gave me the biggest yawn, offering me scenic vistas of the Grand Canyon and the painted desert. I think I could see what he had for breakfast last week.
Don't you gals love it when Joan isn't home? |

I was just going to say, I don't know what is cuter. Mulligan's sharp mathematic skills or Ron's Boston accent... Where is Joan? |
Ditto the above lol
What a clever dog Mulligan is |

Instructions on how to teach the counting would be appreciated...Ron.......Mulligan has such a fine bark!!!!!! |
Haaaa.....Ron and Mulligan....that is too cute!!!
Ron, I know what you mean about seeing the Grand Canyon when Mulligan yawned.....When Carmella yawns.....her mouth opens so wide that I swear she could swallow a chicken.....whole!!! Tee Hee |

You need to teach them how to bark on command. Once you've got that down, you're well on your way. Should I market the secret to earn some money for a rescue? |
I'll be the first in line............I think that would be such a hoot at parties and get togethers....One drawback....EVERYONE would want one...(a sheepie) |
Winston jumped up and ran to the door to see who was on the porch barking and growling
LOL - good boy, Mulligan! |
That was terrific!!!
Baloo looked up and was interested.. cocking his head from side to side. I played it twice just to giggle at Baloo's reaction again.... |
Max didn't react at all... but John did. He was asleep and and jumped up with " What the $#% "
Good job Ron!!!! |
Barney and Maggie both responded with their approval. |
George decided the proper response was to go from a dead sleep to growling and barking along with Mulligan. We call George the Cadbury dog, as he has a "bock bock" sound to his bark. Now we just need to convince the cadbury people to cast him in their commercial...... |
I am impressed. the only counting my boys can do is when they are in trouble and I start to count... 1............2................... on 3 they always run........hahahahah.
By the way Ron We have the same accent . I am from Brooklyn originally and every one ask if I am from Boston ...... Antoinette |
What do people in Franklin Tennessee know about Brooklyn vs Boston? They both are Northerners...
Joan and I are wondering what words you all thought we particularly accented. We don't hear it (of course). Maybe the phrase "smart dog", but that was just a little sarcasm while I was laughing with him...? |
The word Growl was VERY Boston ,,,, the word 'Two' also and yes 'Smart dawg'...lol
You just cant hear it in yourself,or even Joan since you hear each other all the time.............. I can even hear it in Mulligan's accent ...hahahahah I can't hear mine ...but I am told it is there... Try this Ron: Click on this link and scroll down to the blue volume button next to the word 'growl' listen to how it sounds then listen to your' growl'. Do ya hear it now....lol http://www.thefreedictionary.com/growl Antoinette |

I've been told by many people all of my life that I talk with a Boston Accent also...I've only been to Boston once in my life. lol My parents are from Vermont, I was born/raised in Michigan and the last few yrs live in Florida. I don't hear it from me, but try to order "coffee" down here...I have to spell it. hahahaha. There is a difference in the New York/New Jersey and Boston accent. Where we live now it is a melting pot of many states and the New England States are very prominent. One of the first questions that people ask is "where are you originally from?". |

Mulligan is brilliant! Must take after Joan! My dogs loved it! Pirate barked back (but he is not the sharpest knife in the drawer!) And the colors! Wow...flash back to the 60's! |
That's fantastic! |
