Article on Dog Scouts featuring Harry

Harry is a member of a Dog Scouts of America troop in our area. We are less than a year old but we set a goal of raising money for pet oxygen masks to be donated to a local fire department. We recently achieved that goal and presented the masks to our first fire department. A community newspaper decided to do an article on us and there is a nice picture of Harry trying on the mask. Here is the link to the article:

That is so cool! :D
One of the dogs in our therapy group is a dog scout. There are none near us, so she takes her vacations at dog scout activities and camps around the country.

When firefighters are called to a fire they use oxygen masks for vicitims of smoke inhalation. The pet ones work the same way (and hook to the same tanks) but are designed to fit a pet's muzzle which human oxygen masks do not quite fit. Of course people are the first priority but the department said they have attempted to use the regular oxygen masks on pets before.
What a great cause! Bravo Harry & Judi!! You guys are so active. :D
Congratulations Judi and Harry (from one scout to another).
what a good sport Harry is!! I wonder if Brians trucks are equipped with those.....hmmm??!!
Cool........
Very cool! It's great that you can get involved in these kind of things with Harry.
That is wonderful, Judi!!!
What a wonderful way to contribute!
Excellent!!!

How much is one set of masks?
That is really cool, thanks for sharing.

I had to give oxygen once to a bunch of chickens that were in a room full of smoke. I just stuck them all in a cardboard box though, and stuck the oxygen mask inside.

I know this wasn't a humorous situation, but that would be quite an interesting sight.

A set of three masks is about $60 with shipping.
Wow Harry, you are involved in the coolest stuff 8)
Judi - you are involved in some of the most interesting things with Harry. Congratulations and good job!
How cool is that! Judi and Harry, congratulations on working for such a worthy cause.

VerveUp, good thing you didn't have to give those chickens mouth to mouth because, as you know, chickens don't have lips!
