Yes - bring your passport.
No problem bringing a dog across the boarder as long as Obe has current tags stating he has had rabies shots. A vet certificate of up to date shots and rabies is advisable and you'll have no problem. The only time there is an exemption is if the pup is under 3 months but would have to have a vet certificate (dated within 3 days of crossing the boarder) stating pet is healthy. For an adult dog the certificate can be when the dog has had his/her shots. No animal without rabies innoculation would be allowed to cross the boarder. Hope that helped. Hey have fun. Marianne |
I don't think that a Borth Certificate is required for US citizens crossing the border via car until January, and even then they are going to be easy with it, or so they say. If you don't have one, bring your birth certificate.
Bring your vaccination records for Obe. A vet's health certificate was, I think, $10 from our vet. In all the times Joan and I crossed the US-Canada border with a dog and a motorhome packed with stuff, only once were we boarded, and it was to search for "contraband" beef, when the US and Canada were having a beef about mad cow. |
