waiting till the carpet was put in to move all the big stuff and the majority of the painting was done. I love my carpet and I really like the paint colors. I was a little nervous about the colors, but it turned out great. Every time I went to the home store over the last year I picked out a few paint chips that I really liked and after a while I had several of the same colors, so those are what I bought. Worked out well actually. We have both boys crammed into the smaller of the two bedrooms, but we plan to finish out the basement over the next few months and put a bedroom down there for my older son. He is anxious to get it done, and I am too. I just need to get the old house on the market and sold and then I will have a better idea of what we can do. There are still a few things at the old place that I have yet to move like outdoor stuff and attic stuff, and I still have a lot to donate or freecycle, and some junk to take to the dump. But at least we are still moving forward and making progress, even if it is a slower pace than I'd like. I still have lots to do, but this house is hundreds of times better than the old one! Just thought I'd give you an update. You often hear me complain and gripe, so I thought I'd give you a bit of the good stuff as well! Shellie |

I am glad to hear that things are moving along. I will look forward to pics of the new house when you are settled. |
Good news!
And yes, we definitely need pictures. |
Congrats Shellie!
I am very happy for you. Enjoy your new place. Can't wait to see pictures! |
Congratulations!! |
Congrats!!! |
Congrates, with moving and it sounds like your doing it right!!! We all need to get rid of many things as you said and you always seems We feel cleaner and more oraganized, Good for you!!!! |
I hope I have learned my lesson to keep only the
things we need and use- and bring in only new things we need. During the first purge while I was sorting to pack I kept twice as much stuff as I should have. Now after having moved most of it I realize some of the stuff should have gone and I will use a heavier hand with tossing before I put away and organize. What a relief to have the big parts behind me! I will try to post some before and after pics later today. Shellie |
Congrats, Shellie! Looking forward to seeing those pictures. |
Hi Shellie,
Whacha talking about Shellie? I never hear you complain and gripe! Nope always very positive and upbeat and I can't wait to view the pics once you're finished. Although it's lots of work, I bet moving into your dream place brought lots of smiles too. May you be happy there for years to come. Congrats! Marianne |
