I just found out from another member here that it will work out pretty expensive (and sure enough it says £1.17 airmail on the Royal Mail site) so to send lots of cards from UK to overseas, depending how many there will be... and I guess it's alot... Greg & I don't think we can afford it I can't believe I didn't think of that, I'm so silly Personally I would be happy to send maybe 20 or so cards overseas, but that is the limit of my budget. Is there anyone here who could organise this for the UK members? I would have no idea on where or how to start It is such a lovely idea, hope we can work something out! |

You could just ask Drezzie's mom for the addresses of everyone when they're sent out. Then just pick out the UK addresses. |
i am in UK as well but havent a clue how to organise it! |
Just a thought ...a friend of mine sends her UK cards in one parcel along with enough money for postage to one person over there and they buy the stamps and stick em on and mail them for her, she says it's a lot cheaper to do it that way so maybe it would work in reverse also |

This is a good option. I can keep you on the list and you can just send to how many or how few you want to, no matter where they live. Just let me know! Unless I hear from you otherwise (I've already responded to your PM today, so just disregard that answer) I will keep you on the list. |
I would be happy to co-ordinate a list for the Uk members if you would like. Maybe Drezzies Mum could point me in the right direction of how she organises the 'Big' list and I could do the same for us here? (I'll send a PM!)
I didn't sign up for the 'Big' list for the same reason - I had thought that postage for them all would be just too much. If our Posties keep striking though we'll just have to get together here again the UK and deliver them to each other personally! - Now that would be fun! |
For those UK members currently on the list, if you would prefer to be on a UK only list, please let me know so I can separate the two and pass the template on to Karen. If I do not hear from you, I will assume you still want to be on the big list.
Thanks! |
Chris: Even though I am in the States, I would still like to have the addresses of the peps in the UK. I would like to still send them Christmas Cards. I hope this doesn't get too confusing for you.
I want to thank you again for doing such a great job last year. |
I will keep all UK members on my master list. The US and other non-UK members can decide for themselves if they want to send cards to the UK. |
Thank you Drezzie's Mom, perhaps keeping us all on the big list is a better idea, then we can pick who to send them to. That way I can still send the 20ish I can afford plus, the UK ones. I'm much happier now |
Okay then. I'll just keep everyone on my master list and let everyone pick and choose. I know out of 60 people on the list last year, I got cards from about 45.
Karen, if you want to create a UK only list, you can do it from the big one I send out. SO - calling any and all UK members who haven't contacted me yet - one week and counting!! |
I would like to go on the Uk list please... |
I'm starting to get confused to whether or not anyone in the UK will be sending to the US this year or if it's just bgirl.nemesis and now KTB?? I can definitely understand money concerns. |
Some of the UK members will not send to everyone in the US, and that's totally understandable from a money point of view. And along those same lines, not every US or other non-UK person on the list will want to spend the extra money to send internationally either.
So I think the easiest thing to do is this - I will keep the master list in its entirety. I will send it out by email to everyone, and let each person decide how many and to where they would like to send cards. Just by saying in a thread here that you want to be included on the list will not give me the information I need. Again, if there are any members (UK or otherwise) who have not gotten me their information, please PM me with the following: Your complete name and mailing address, your email address, your pet(s) name(s), and if you can open a Word document. Everyone agree? |

Would anyone be willing to do this for us please? |

Hi,
I would be hapy to act as the USA postal intermediary for anyone outside the USA. For me it is a way to pay back everyone that does it for me in different parts of the world. I am even willing to take your foreign currency. I work for an airline and travel extensively, so it always gets used! I am on the Christmas card list with my husband, so you have my address. PM me if you need any info. Hope I can be of help. Kathie |
