If you’re not familiar with NEOESR (www.neoesr.org), it was established in 1994, and is organized for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes, including the distribution of contributions to organizations under section 50l (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Don’t let the name fool you, though! The scope of their commitment to helping OES’s in need extends FAR BEYOND New England. My OES, Hastings, for example, was rescued from a shelter in South Carolina, was fostered in North Carolina, made a brief appearance on PetFinder, and lives with us in Minnesota. The scope of NEOES’s selfless compassionate work is not limited by geographic boundaries. The only constraint to the rescue work they can accomplish is money. The more money that they have available to them, the more help they can provide to abandoned, mistreated or unwanted OES. Now, back to the auction…. Won’t you join in the fun? You don’t have to do anything special to take a look at all the items up for bid. Anyone can look. Tell all your friends. Members and friends of NEOESR have donated 97 very special items for bidding. There are descriptions and pictures for each item. So, if you are fond of Old English Sheepdogs… and I’m guessing that’s a no brainer… then you will definitely enjoy taking a look for yourself: http://tinyurl.com/bk2dx If you happen to find something that you want, and you want to join in the fun of bidding, then registering is a snap. Membership is NOT required. There’s a link on the main page for the auction (from the link above)! There’s a sweet little girl, Missy, in Georgia who is in pain with an injured leg. She will need surgery to repair it properly. This will give her the chance at life that she desperately deserves. NEOESR is watching this girl. If the money is available, they will get involved in her rescue. You see, NEOESR’s reach extends all across the country. Thank you for caring so much!!!!!!!!!! |

Thanks for the link Judy. I always enjoy the auction. But the favorite thing I got from NEOESR is my sheepie Maggie (on the right in my avatar).
Welcome to the forum! |
I saw Missy this a.m. when browsing the web. Do you know what is wrong with her leg and have any other information on this dog? Such as gets along with others, fixed etc? |

I'm a bit confused by the above statement. Was Hastings adopted through North Carolina Rescue or NEOESR? I agree NEOESR does great thing for OES everywhere but was not aware that NEOESR was involved in Hastings' placement. Some OES rescue groups can and do operate independently of NEOESR. |
