WHY does everything taste better when MOM cooks?? I make my vegetable soup the same way- but it never tastes quite as comforting as when Mom makes it. The same with the pumpkin pie ( although it MAY be her homemade crust vs. my pillsbury crust on that one ) Here's to MOM!!! |

for me it's because I don't have to make it |

I really think that most Mom's don't even follow their own recipes. I know with my Grandmother she would have a written recipe but the actual recipe was a bit different, she would never tell us... instead she'd say just watch me. Of course we'd all get bored just watching her. But due to the fact that I watched her make her roasted potatoes... I know the secret. My sister said how come when I follow the recipe they don't taste the same. I said it's because Grandma doesn't even follow her own recipe. |
I agree my Mom makes the best food. So sorry about your wrist! |
My Mom's food is the best! I never even tried to make any of it as I'm sure it would bomb. I tell Mom that she better keep herself well to keep making it for me |
It tastes better because it's made with LOVE.
Nobody makes gravy like my mom. It is the bestest. |

how is your wrist feeling??????? hows washing the hair?? It is just sore and annoying!!! My hair looks HORRIBLE. I had a training class today- and I could hardly teach. I was sure everyone was looking at my hair and snickering...and of course it is raining today. That is never good for my hair. John is NO help. He thinks I am too vain. Vanity <sigh> |
lol...its amazing the torchure you will put yourself through to have good hair.....if i guess right, in about a week youll have it all figured out, pain or no pain.....but your hair will be done!!!
does your husband try to wash your hair with the palms of his hands...and get it all knotted.... |
I'm sorry you hurt your elbow. Nothing funny about that.
Except you'll have to go to a beauty salon for 6 weeks. How terrible. |

My Mom's food always tastes better too. I tell her it is because she sticks her finger in whatever she is making, and it makes the difference. I was cooking something once to take somewhere and I asked if I could take her finger home with me. She refused, so the dish just wasn't the same. |
