Doooonnuuuts! (immagine Homer drooling) Mopsey loves them, as does my hubby! Yuck! We have low coffee tables that we eat at, and one time i went away to get something from the kitchen leaving my plate unattended...well i came back and Mopsey STOLE MY HUGE STEAK! She took it off my plate and had most of it eaten! I am telling you, she did this under 5 seconds! LOL Little furry theaf!!! LOL
PS starbucks breath! LOL Love that one! |
My girls love coffee and coke, if anyone ever spills a drop they sure get to it fast! They'll try to sneak it right out of our cups too! |
This morning Drake became the muffin snatcher! I fixed apple nut muffins for the kids and Drake kept on wanting to snatch the muffins and their wrapers. My one son who just likes the top of the muffins found something to do with the bottoms. Needles to say the muffin snatching Drake was a partner in that crime. Drake thought the paper cup tasted as good as the muffin itself. This afternoon Drake found the one I had left over for me and yep the muffin snatcher struck again. |
I once new a sheepie named Arthur that LOVED blueberry muffins. He would steal as many as he could but ONLY the fresh ones. They day old ones would be on the counter too and he wouldn't touch them. lol |
he's acting really nutty still, must've been hazelnut coffee?
darn caffeine |
Only citrus is ignorned here, except by one who loves margaritas..silly boy.
If I BBQ a leg of lamb, suddenly every dog is guarding the BBQ with drool flying. Sheepiegirl once surprised me by stealing my entire Greek salad, feta, olives, the whole thing. I'd prefer Starbucks breath to scallion breath. |
Let me rewrite that, LOL!!
Only one dog tolerates citrus.....only in margaritas. The rest run when they catch a whiff. While all are curious about people food, when we BBQ lamb the dogs go nuts. Veggies are tolerated by most, but sheepiegirl really surprised me by stealing an entire Greek salad, including the olives. It was literally gone in 60 seconds. (onion burps ) |
LOL!!!!
Chelsea LOVES blueberries- are they bad for them like grapes?- she has a look she gets and we call it "doing the blueberry"- she gets really intense and lifts her front leg and stares down the blueberries, until she gets one of course. I have a funny food story. My first Sheepie- Penelope- was a kitchen beggar, watching my every move at the counter, waiting for something to drop, one day I was making shrimp salad, so I had those cold little frozen shrimps, one fell on the floor, Penny jumped up and sniffed it, I thought she was going to take a pass, and then she ducked her head down and and started to roll all over it like it was dead fish! Which, it was, so she rolled in it and then got up and walked away. Her work was done and she was wearing that dead fish perfume they all love so much. In this case it was Eau d'shrimp. Up. |
That is funny!! She would have been handy to have when shopping for fresh fish. |
LOL... my girls have been especially mischevious lately, since I've gone back to work. Poor things have to spend more time on their own, and they're crated so they can't get into anything while I'm at work, but boy do they ever make up for it when I get home! If I'm out of sight for even a second you can bet they are going to get anything out of the sink and put it on the floor to do their own kind of cleaning, or counter surf till they find something shred-able, or sneak in the living room and take the remotes.... it doesn't end. I know they just need more attention than I've been giving them lately, I've just been so busy trying to get back into routine, and I think my girls are showing me that they'd better have a big chunk of that routine! I'm going to take them down to the river and let them herd the ducks later...lol... they don't hurt them, or even scare them, they just circle them and try to make the ducks stay in one small circle.... good sheepie instinct! LOL |
he he he Little furry devils! LOL I love your new avatar, Stacey! They are soo adorable! |
Well, I had one serve herself breakfast today. Overnight she figured out how to open the pantry. This morning I came out to a snow storm......she found the powdered sugar bag and had a jolly good time. Prior to that she discoverd if she put her paw on the top of a cabinet she could hoist her fat body high enough to knock something off the counter. One quart of chicken stock. Guess that's why I have many different mops and floor cleaners. |
Wow, I guess we have been lucky! So far Samantha can only hear the Kraft cheese package opening and when someone is opening her treat jar. She has also discovered potato chips....mine, I am a closet chip eater once in a while. No donuts at our house, oh well. |
So what is it with the Margaritas??? Chelsea smells a Marg and starts licking in the air, sniffing in the direction of the glass, she even gets assertive and will jump on you to get closer to the glass - the whole time licking in mid air- is it the salt? Or the citrus smell? If a dog could pucker - I think that's what she is doing.
My last Sheepie liked beer- my ex husband drank very thick dark beers like Guiness, I'm sure they smelled delicious to the OES- she thought she had us fooled, when he would set his glass or bottle on the floor next to the couch or chair she would amble over and when no one was looking knock the beverage over! There would be a mad scramble to run for paper towel, but while we were running for the clean up materials she would start licking, by the time we were back she had usually managed to get most of the spill off the wood floor and would be standing there cross eyed licking her lips. After we figured it out that this was no "accident" we stopped leaving stuff on the floor- However when guests were over she didn't miss a beat - the second a beer was on the floor she would knock it over and have her little nip. Up. |
LOL Up! Crossed eyed dog! That made me laugh! I can just immagine it, too! Smart pup! |
